Yes, but not because of the height issue.

I'd be a bit bothered if I found out they'd lied about anything, just because I can't tolerate liars and don't understand people who feel the need to lie about themselves. If they have a problem with self confidence, I don't want to know.

I'm not sure how tall I am anymore. I THOUGHT I was 5 8 plus a bit but I keep meeting blokes who insist they are 5 9 plus and I'm taller than them. There was one guy I worked with had a major sulk and wouldn't talk to me all day after a small disagreement about height.He said I must be 5 10 cos he was 5 9 and when I disagreed with his estimation he stalked off in a huff. He did buy me a bacon sarnie for breakfast the next day as an apology but I think it was to sweeten me up and encourage me to keep me trap shut.

Yes you can, but what I am saying though is as long as I'm not breaking a forum rule then I can say it, so any protests don't have to be taken on board. It was a 'joke' and that's how it should be seen as, you probably don't even laugh at sexist jokes, but probably would if it was about a male.

Now I come to think about it, I haven't actually measured my height since about 1992. Don't you shrink as you get older? On a related note I haven't seen my backside for a long time either. I'm not sure I want to...!

There should probably be a width filter though, but then again, half of the women who say they have "average" bodies when clearly they're in denial about being much bigger would probably lie about that too...

Haha, yes, I have noticed that too! Put "average" into body type filter, and about 70% of women who show up are CLEARLY overweight!
I have no idea when a size 18+ has ever been classed as "average"..............

Speaking personally (call me sizist if you must) but my own preferance is Sz 12-14 or under, but I don't give a rats ass how tall or short the lass is (I'm 5ft 7in)

The difference is that if a woman says something about men who are looking for a lady bellow a certain size or with say "an ample chest" they are seen as having a "legitimate complaint", however if a man says something similar about women who simply won't look at a man bellow a certain height, they are seen as "whingers" or "woe is me" merchants.

Double standards? I think so.

Ahhh, but Lulu, you really can be described as "average", and a very nice average too by the way.

If I see a lady who states she wants 5ft 10in or over, I just don't contact her, simple as that. I wouldn't feel 100% comfortable beside a lady who was 6ft 6in with 5 inch heels on to be honest lol.

Certainly, some hold those views. We don't ALL think that way, however. Some of us, (most?) both men and women, are quite happy for others to hold whatever criteria they see fit for a partner. Ignore those with double standards and just focus on what you want :)

Thin is horrible, nothing worse than bones sticking out!

Average is good and a few extra pounds is fine. Problem is when some people fill out their profile they think `average` means 'average for a heavily pregnant hippo` and `a few extra pounds` means `anything you can get on the back of a low loader` :p
