Contributions into forum discussions offer way more insight into peeps than reading a profile does in my opinion.

Then there are others that have a so-so profile but you see their insecure misogynistic rantings and you know you're not interested even if their profiles were OK. The forums can definitely supplement your profile - for better or worse. Sometimes I wish more people would participate just so I can get more of a taste of good ones.
Those that stopped trying to date on here and are for the forums only - that could be to your detriment if you're great conversationalist, liberal, open-minded and understanding. If not... well trying to date from here and being on the forums is probably more of hindrance than a help.

But I never wanted to date, I only create a profile to be able to post on the forum. I only uploaded photos in response to a poster who has since left (Gwen) thinking I must be very fat because I did not have any pics. | |
