Did anyone see 'Sex, Lies and Rinsing Guys' last night?
I sure did and can't believe that there are so many stupid men out there prepared to give their hard earned money to these women just to be able to spend a short moment in their company.
Why don't these blokes just pay a hooker a couple of hundred quid as at least they could get their leg over?

Posted: 5/16/2012 6:12:59 AM | What I found interesting about this was the woman who got the guy to pay her for her trip to NY, I wondered at what point she actually told him straight that there was going to be no funny business? My opinion was that, after seeing her interviewed, that she had probably led hi to believe that he was on a winner, in order to secure the flight etc, then told him when she got there that it was a no no. Out of the girls, I found myself disliking her and her way of doing things although having had an explanation about her upbringing seeed to be her way of justifying it, although it seemed sad to me that this was how she chose to be. The other girls seemed to be far more up-front on what they were doing. Danica (?) ppeared to have a business brain on her, I mean, anyone who can set up a website and sell videos of herself riding was onto a winner hahahahaaha. The other odd opinion was the mother of the online dominatrix who watched her daughter abusing a 'client' then said how proud she was of her......erm, really?????

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 8:47:48 AM | Yes, I watched it.
Is it any different than old people being conned out of their money through whatever method ?
Not really.
Choosing to become a person with low moral standards is the easy way out and not to be commended IMO.
|
| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 9:14:11 AM | | Rinsing? Is that synonymous with fleecing? If so, we are all being systemically rinsed/fleeced by the banks and politicians and so the behaviour highlighted in the programme, which incidentally I didn't watch, would appear to emulate a much wider trend in society. No shame in that, apparently. | |

I think it was completely different, if you mean old people who get letters or people calling round saying they will do jobs for them... or if you are meaning women/men being conned out of money on dating sites etc. Those types usually "con" the victim into thinking they are in relationships and use some sort of lie (i.e. they are stranded in a foreign country) to get the woman/man to send money. These women weren't like that at all. They actually had "shopping lists" on their facebook/twitter stuff.. and the men were choosing what to send them or they received gifts when they went out to dinner.. and as far as I can tell, the majority of the men were affluent. The women said they made it clear it was all just "friends". Whether you believe that or not is up to you.. but I couldn't see that any of these men were victims.

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 10:36:35 AM | I saw the programme (I'm allowed the remote when my daughters go to bed) and my overall reaction was disgust at these women, doing nothing with their lives except poncing off stupid men. And yes, the men are so stupid, although as a previous poster pointed out the guys must actively seek out the girls, the online girls anyway. But the tramps that trawl the high class bars and hotels looking for targets are the worst. Amazing what false eyelashes and a boobjob can do to a fool of a man. The girl that went to New York to meet a complete stranger must be crazy.
Does anyone believe them when they say they dont have sex with the men?I 'm not sure, not all of the time maybe. Definitely not doing my gender any favours. Work for your own trinkets sweetheart, much more satisfying, what will they be good for when the looks fade? And were they that attractive anyway
vvvvv Edit, yes it is up to the people concerned, but that is my opinion, I would not be encouraging a daughter of mine

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 10:44:07 AM | I don't really understand why anyone is disgusted by this. The women are obviously enjoying what they're doing and there's clearly a demand for it, so what exactly is the problem?
They're not hurting anyone and they're not forcing anyone to do anything they don't want to.
Ok, it was a TV programme, but what business is it of ours anyway? There are a lot of things I'm not into that other people are and vice versa probably, does that make anyone right or wrong?
Live and let live I say :-)

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 10:55:28 AM | I saw the programme. Apparently, the women did make it clear that sex wasn't on the cards. Although the one man they did interview said he was interested in taking things further if she'd let him
If the women were upfront then i do not see any problem in what they are doing , they are not decieving anyone , and no one forces the men to get involved with them and spend their cash on them . Now on the other hand if they were decieving them and giving the men false pretences then i would see it differently . They could have turned out to be FWB if they played their cards right :)
How i miss my FWB since moving to yorkshire :(

Most men think with their d1cks, when a pretty girl pays you some attention the little brain engages and the large brain dis-engages. These women know it and are exploiting it regardless of who said what/when and what is or isn't inferred.......and fair fcuking play to them but lets not pretend they are not doing anything just a teeny weeny bit wrong.
They are exploiting pure and simple, a skill many pretty women have mastered since time immemorial to ponce off of silly deluded men.

and they all looked like mooses as well.
Yeah, despite my jokey post earlier I hadn't actually watched it. I just put it on 4od and I can't be arsed to watch it any further than up to the first ad break, it all seems very predictable, a few thick, cheap looking (despite their expensive gifts) tarty slappers with boob jobs and sh1t extensions and delusions about their own sex appeal and intelligence.
Any guy who buys an orange tart a Cartier watch as a gift for going to dinner is clearly a cretinous pr1ck. At least these ladies are keeping these idiotic men amused and off the dating scene so normal women needn't worry about meeting any of them and wasting time trying to have a conversation with a bloke who usually communicates through twitter or BBM with a airhead whose airhead is up her own arse.

I don't think it's "wrong".
Yes, it's exploitative and taking liberties, but all they're doing is taking an opportunity that wouldn't be there if some men weren't so ruled by their egos or libido, that they'd ignore the very obvious fact that they're being treated like a muggins.
If they know it and they're happy to go along with it though, then everything is tickety-boo.... Woman gets what she wants and the man gets what they want.
If they were actively lying to or misleading the men, then it would be wrong.
However, in various ways lots of women know that you're more likely to get what you want from a bloke, if you appeal to his ego or if his libido finds you appealing.... These women are just taking that to the nth degree.
I know some people (especially some women) will find the idea disgusting, but I just think these birds have seen an opportunity, used their assets and gone for it.
I don't think more or less of women because of what some of them choose to do... and I really don't see this as being particularly disgusting - if anything I've got more of a problem with the blokes who fall prey to it, then the women who do it.

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 12:42:41 PM | Haven't seen the programme so it's hard to comment although there are always 2 sides to a story, I wouldn't pass judgement on the girls if they are up front about it. I'm sure there are those who probably promise a bit more and aren't honest about what's on offer to get what they want. The men are fools if you ask me but probably desperate as well. Mind you it's all an damning indictment on society today.
Punkadiddle I had a friend who was a high class prostitute, she did it for the money and also her love of sex. She made good money, enough to but herself a property overseas. She told people she bought & sold antiques because so many people judge and look down on it. Personally I see nothing wrong with what she did.

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 5:26:46 PM | BestFoot-Forwad…Msg 6….”Giving decent women a bad name in my opinion”
I don’t think those girls gave women bad name, those girls don’t represent every single female in the world and any man who believes that have no respect for their mothers. Women do give each other bad name, read the comments on here and see what other women said about those girls compare to the men involved. Reading all your comments on this thread it seem, you haven’t had go at the men that was involved. Why is that? After all it was 2 way street. Those men love chasing handbags while their wives or girlfriends sit at home looking after the kids. They get kick out of it and know where to be and those clubs were members only therefore all those men involved knew what they were getting themselves into otherwise they would be at home being father and husband. The girl in NYC……..Its his fault, he thought he can buy her but she out smart him LOL. If you watched the programme and listen to their stories then you would realise that 2 of them haven’t had their father in their lives and they were making men payback for what their fathers have done. Yes its wrong but this is how they chosen to live their life. If those men got what they want of them then they would just throwing them away and move on to the next handbag.
Positive: Dancia’s website Negative: The girl from Mansfield made the mistake of allowing her son to be filmed for the show which was wrong in and the programmer makers shouldn’t have allow that.
Good programme and very funny. It should been called “Rich men and handbags” I dont know what is the differences between them and footballers wives or rich men marrying younger women. All same thing just different twist and meaning. Money, Money and Money.
Msg 4 “I was of the opinion these blokes must be mad until i read your post, i had to sell my business when she buggered off and left me with the kids, i reckon i,m down 300k, maybe the rinsers are cheap by comparison lol”
Count your blessing at least she didn’t took your money and the kids then dump your kids with the next man. You got something more important than money and business out of your marriage, your kids. Not all women are money grabbing and not all women have taking half or all of his money when getting divorced. Some just want nothing but freedom.

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/16/2012 10:03:26 PM | seeing as people seem to be saying that it's the men's fault for allowing these tarts to do what they do, shall we also assume that it must be a girl's fault for 'allowing' herself to be raped then?
summary:
when a woman does something bad that involves men, it's the man's fault when a man does something bad, it's the man's fault when a man gets hit off a woman it's the man's fault when a man hit's a woman even if she hit him first, it's the man's fault
no wonder we get annoyed, or is that our fault as well?

Ant, a pretty big difference between the two is that in the scenario being discussed the "victim" is in a position where they can make a choice as to whether or not they let it happen to them. Whereas in the ones you've mentioned, the victim had no say in the matter and the blame pretty much lies squarely on the shoulders of the perpetrator.
Plus nobody has absolved the women of blame for what they're doing. The women in question have done it and the men have let it happen to them.
If the women have lied about their intent/misled the bloke, then more of the blame lies with the women.... but I still say that the bloke has allowed it to happen to him, because he's been seriously fvcking clueless.
A far more accurate comparison would be if some bird got mugged off by some (male) player/manipulator.
In that case, I would say exactly the same thing as I have in this scenario.
If he's told her what he's doing and she goes along with it, because she is fool enough to believe he cares about her, then they're both "to blame". If he's leading her on and taking liberties and she goes along with it, then he is more to blame but she still needs to accept some responsibility for what she let happen to her, because she's been a bit (?) clueless.
So your assumption wouldn't be correct... unless you're saying that women let themselves get raped or beaten up?
Ps. If a man hits a woman, who hit him first, then yes it's his "fault", because he chose to hit her - assuming you're talking about retaliation, rather than self defence.
She's at fault for hitting him. He's at fault for hitting her back.

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/17/2012 12:20:26 AM | Ant - I am really shocked that you can even suggest ANY woman (or man for that matter) allows themselves to be raped.
Gold-diggers and the men that aquaint themselves with them, are both in agreement. Neither one is forcing the other to be in that position - it's choice.
Personally I don't admire the gold-diggers and I do feel sorry for the men. I think the men are pretty sad to buy attention and the women are pretty cruel to play on that fact - but if it's what they both want/agree to and both get something out of it, then it's down to them.
|
| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/17/2012 12:30:42 AM | I'm not that shocked about Ant's post, having read a few. I'm sad about the content of that post, thats he's got to that point in his life where he can come to those conclusions.
On topic.. a lot of the men who seem to be paying for these gifts obviously have the spare cash. If they want to spend it making themselves feel good, why not? Isn't it just boys and their toys? They probably didn't need the latest, largest sound system or handmade shoes.. but if they could afford them, who is to say they shouldn't buy them? As far as I can see their payoff is spending time with or talking to girls they find (strangely) attractive. Just because the majority of us think they are nuts, doesn't mean its soooo terrible. I'm sure we all spend money on things that other folk in our lives (or folk on the forum) would hold their hands up in horror over.

| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/17/2012 2:34:54 AM | msg 43 - I do feel the guys are partly to blame for allowing themselves to be taken advantage of
A bit like a woman who sends money to a guy in another country - at some point you HAVE to take responsibilty for yourself and your own actions
However - I do think these women are preying on men who are possibly lonely, sad and desperate enough to spend money on these women in the hope they might like them. And I think that maybe some of them must be below average intelligence, possibly even with learning difficulties.. I mean what guy in their right mind would do this?
It smacks of greed and a predatory nature, what on earth is wrong with earning the trinkets they are desperate for themselves in an honest fashion?
As I said before, you cannot compare this to prostitution, as everyone would know the score in this situation
|
| Professional Golddiggers as seen on tv... Posted: 5/17/2012 2:43:37 AM | at some point you HAVE to take responsibilty for yourself and your own actions
Exactly. We're not talking about children here.... we're talking about grown ups. We don't usually have a bone to pick about what 2 consenting adults get up to the bedroom so I'm not sure why people should be offended by what they get up to outside of it. People have different moral outlooks..... I have a friend who makes money as a masseuse, it's not something I would want to do, but good luck to her. It's helped her pay her mortgage off and she's made a lot of lonely and sex starved men very happy.

Dont talk wet ant , these men go into this knowing what is going on , they are not forced into it , women who are raped are forced into it , totally 2 different things .
