I e-mailed @ csr@pof.com and have gotten no reply as to how to "unhide" my profile.
That would be because there is no fix as of yet as per post #1 of this thread so there is nothing to tell you other than to re-read post #1.
You can always delete your profile and start a new one. | |

I'm with you. I've used this site for over 6 years all on someone else's dime. It's been a free tool and cheap entertainment (forums) for me for a long time and other than a few little tiny glitches, it's been a reliable site. I understand the frustration some feel when things don't work exactly right, but good grief ~ it's not like we're talking a life/death situation here. No one is losing life/limb because the hide/unhide links aren't working. Just forget it and go about your business. It will get fixed, just like all the other little glitches over the years. Now let's all worry about world peace or something ~ that issue isn't going to be fixed any time soon.  JMO  | |

Hiding your profile only removes you from the search engine.
To control if people can / can not tell if you've viewed their profile, go to mail settings. The option is there.

That works for both hidden and non-hidden profiles. The only way to check is to do a username search.

I can't find me, so I get that I'm hidden. I can find his. Have I been dupped? Feeling like a dork now. We've had a great relationship so far. If his profile is hidden, I shouldn't be able to see it, right?
I just need some validation.

Do a username search. If his username shows up, his profile is not hidden.

Why are profiles that can be unhidden being automatically hidden by the site on a NIGHTLY basis, thus requiring manual unhiding daily. Posted: 6/17/2012 9:12:51 PM | A dating website where you don't even show up in search results is pretty useless. To those who are saying it isn't a big deal and it's free...you aren't hidden, so yeah..it's probably not a big deal to you.
I host local parties so for me to create a new profile would mean that I would essentially have to start all over and get 20 people to sign up again so I can get the mass email out. What a hassle. | |
