| HIDDEN PROFILE PROBLEMS: Post all concerns here

Also I followed the advice of deleting my old profile (which was hidden) and setting up a new one.
All was fine for a couple of weeks then I logged on one day...and guess what...
I have no idea why this is happening unless a regular windows update or similar (maybe for IE) has caused this, but if I went from hidden (old profile) to unhidden for 2 weeks (new profile) before it hid me again on a computer and OS that wasnt updated/altered then it has to be something else.... | |

Feeling discouraged.
I host and co-host POF get togethers so having a hidden profile causes problems. | |

Posted: 7/18/2012 7:10:22 AM | I have been trying to find the unhide my profile link for a while now. Ive emailed POF many times and had no response at all. I have recenty paid the yearly subscription too, so now I feel I have wasted my money as POF dont seem to care about its users. Why not? Whats going on? Please Help

Posted: 7/18/2012 3:44:34 PM | After reading other peoples posts on the missing "Hide / Unhide Link" and their dissapointment at being ignored by POF I have to say that I believe there is a law against selling someone a product or service that does not deliver what it is supposed to as described by the seller in this case POF.
Aswell as a sincere appology, we should be entitled to either transfer our credit (if a paid customer, like myself) to a working profile, or a refund in full.
Please advise as to POF policy in this unique situation. Non-transfer, non-refund cannot apply when the service has not been supplied.

The one way it was capable of being viewed was by clicking on the "view profile" link in the event thread. Perhaps that's one alternative for anyone here who can't unhide their profile. Of course, that will serve to give event hosts "false positives" in their attendance figures, but at least it might be a temporary solution. You know, since POF doesn't seem to want to communicate with its users on this issue. | |

I find myself in an awkward position. My profile is currently not visible something I did by choice. I'm able to edit it and I have at least the last time I looked, an "unhide" link but I'm fearful if I exploit it and make my profile visible I'll lose control over returning to hide mode, if I so choose.
Does anyone know what will happen in the above scenario? Will the problem affecting some members, and boy it sucks for those of you caught in limbo with this, losing the hide link, be activated if I post my profile again? Losing control over whether my profile is visible or not is the only thing that keeps me from unhiding it frankly but the alternative, deleting it all together seems an extreme solution.
It's a no-win situation. | |

Posted: 7/30/2012 7:42:55 AM | Not sure if this will help with the diagnostics but until this morning I had not been affected by this bug. Now I have edited my interests and my head line, the hide/unhide is no longer available to me which up to now it has been.
EDIT - Just logged out and back in and the hide/unhide profile button is back again ! | |
