Posted: 3/18/2005 8:19:10 PM | Ok gesh, people cannot seem to get their geography straight for NY. First of NYC is not NY, ever notice how if you tell some one you are from NY they automatically ad a C? No not every one lives in NYC; though it may seem like it lol
Upstate NY (leather stocking region) is Syracuse area to just about Utica, or at least that is what it says on the NYS I-90 lol. I am from Western NY, Rochester and most times, I am not here due to work I am any ware from James town to, Binghamton or Syracuse, Watertown, Utica, Ithaca, Albany, Plattsburgh, Middletown, Poughkeepsie.
I have traveled most of New York State for Work, I still hear different answers from Upstate, Down state, Northern you name it.
I just say I am from Upstate NY, Rochester huh where is Rochester, and we are about dead smack in the middle of Syracuse and Buffalo.
Grin now that we are totally confused about where we live, Simple I live in a house that happens to be in NY lol

They do not call it the Northway (87) or taking route 9, 11, or 3 to Plattsburgh. Personally, I like route 3 to Plattsburgh through the Adirondack Mountains and Lake placid. | |

Posted: 3/20/2005 5:41:12 PM | Ah, yes..I am from Plattsburgh. Right in the middle of Plattsburgh. And you take the NORTHWAY after Albany to go, none other then north. Which is UP. So we are UPSTATE....
Albany is more MID state, takes but a second to look at a map, but most people have seem to forget that they still make them..Or they can't read them. One of the two..
And there is nothing like driving through the Adirondacks in the spring... | |
