My teen years were spent in Utica; college years in Albany, and since then here in Rochester. Broadway, baseball, and basketball in the NYC area spells "great weekend getaway" in my world. And hiking through the Adirondacks between Old Forge and Lake Placid every summer equals Heaven. Toronto isn't upstate NY, but it's near enough for a close encounter of the romantic kind. And the Southern Tier is on the way to Pennsylvania where one college-aged child is located. So, i guess i love NY! | |
