We sat in silence eating our food with knifes and forks like a meeting of the prim and proper society! Horrifying. Almost nightmarish!
Omg, that IS nightmarish. I can imagine the cutlery clink and amplified chewing sounds and trying to find a spot to focus on that isn’t my date. I would have to fight the urge to break out laughing hysterically, which would make me want to laugh even more. Then if I did laugh I’d appear psychotic.
I think I’d have to excuse myself and disappear permanently from that horror.

I'm not very prim or proper.

I kept myself there with the age old male excuse "It took me a month to get this reservation and I'm going to enjoy it!" to be fair... the food was amazing, but the bill was perhaps a relation of Bill Gates the amount of zeros it had...

"It took me a month to get this reservation and I'm going to enjoy it!"
Thats really the best attitude to have. Next time spend the zeros on someone you like.
You're just adorable, I read all your posts with an accent, lol. Jolly good.

| Worst Foods For First Dates Posted: 6/10/2012 9:40:35 PM | I'm gonna have to say it's all about communication.
Avoid eating something the other person hates.
For example, I love seafood. Shrimp in particular. Oddly, every woman I've ever dated, including my ex-wife, had/has a dislike for seafood. My current lady friend told me ahead of time she can't stand fried fish, even hates the smell. But had no problem with shrimp as long as I didn't try to share. So we won't ever go to Red Lobster together, no big loss there. And I do order shrimp on occasion.
But fresh breath is important, and I do keep a few tins of Altoids around. In my car, in the kitchen and on my nightstand. Which she appreciates and will often use as well.

If you think my accent is strong! By god! You should have heard hers, she insisted I refer to her by her title too. Most vexing.
