You are taking them way to seriously
That would be "whose view" and "too seriously". If you must persist in making these daily attacks on our intelligence I'd suggest you do it in a grammatically correct manner.
After all, you don't want to appear stupid...

Obviously this will vary from postcode to postcode, but "200 men to each woman", is just hysterical BS
Actually it was the owner of POF that said this in his blog........ (or something to that effect)

He also says the site is 100% free in his advertising and we all know that isn't true, sooooooo ..............
Any way I shall just nip back to Reading (do I get the train from Paddington for that?) so I can have my world view's formed for me, while I take a break ............ do I get a free Kit-Kat?

| PoF messaging advice Posted: 6/18/2012 10:49:28 AM | | Why wanting the Messiah to go?? He is entertaining - most of the time...we’ve all been insulted - whether directly or more subtly or even both ...so we all know what the score is...just take all the posts - and insults - with a pinch of salt...I’m guessing he is getting off on something – we all do. Some people in highly busy and stressful jobs get their kicks from thrill seeking sports/activities...some prefer being antagonists on the internet...each to their own :-)...I think the internet is probably safer.....in many ways.... | |

| PoF messaging advice Posted: 6/18/2012 11:00:55 AM | I discovered the block button! It's great. When I send you a message , pointing out I didn't realise someone else knew a particularly obscure small band, when did you start listening to their music , I don't expect a templated "I've hooked up with someone" whilst obviously in chat. It was about music, not getting into your pants. Blocked, and I actually enjoyed it. Bad me.
Next on the block list, silly tarts with the attention span of a goldfish , who initiate contact then don't bother replying to your reply. It's the pit for you. :)
Oh sorry, messaging advice? Fcuk them.

If you check again, I'm fairly sure you'll find he actually says that "some women, can receive as many as 200 mails a day". That's "mails", not "males"
Why would any owner of a site claim that there were 200 men to every woman..? It wouldn't be worth joining, if you were a man, even if it was less than "free". The ratios are about 6 men, to every 5 women.
But don't take my word for it, do some searches, first, man seeking woman, then woman seeking man, use the same ages and geography settings, and compare the two numbers.
I did this for a number of areas, and couldn't find a single one, where there was anything greater than 1.2 men to each woman. It's a popular myth, and I've seen it repeated endlessly here, always by men. It's simply not true.
If you want to get replies, you'll need to be attractive (to the person you've mailed), so you need good pictures, a well-written profile, and an interesting message. But, if they don't like the picture, then they'll probably neither look at the profile, nor bother opening the message, they'll delete it un-read, regardless of it's merit.
It happens 'in-real-life' too. If they don't like the look of you, it's going nowhere, no matter how clever, kind, and 'nice' you might feel yourself to be. (Scientists call this phenomenon, "Natural Selection". )
'Singledom' has many advantages. Embrace it/ Happy Fishing * *Delete as applicable.
