When composing a first email to a young lady always find something specific and complimentary to say about her profile, not just her photos. You might get a better response rate. Many women have disabled their chat feature for various reasons (scammers, pressure, etc.). Also, no reply is the standard "no thanks" on dating sites. In any case, it is never all about you so 1) show some empathy, and 2) don't take rejection personally. | |

I was beginning to wonder if any of my messages were being sent, let alone read. I know there is a way to upgrade and see if your messages were being read and what time the user was last on specifically. There is a Sent Msg feature that allows you to check on the messages you've sent as well as their compisition, that way you can look at what you've written in the past, not that anything has really worked for me. I'm sure most of guys are wondering why we don't get replies and that's something that's hard to grasp because the truth is women get tons of messages, they can afford to be selective and might not even read or open all of their messages. This is all in theory though, I also don't wanna be mass sending messages like some people do. | |

i just looked at your profile, here's some tips
tips:
get some smiling pictures get a few, get some of u and other girls get some of you and some friends - get a whole body shot too if poss.
make ur tagline POSITIVE
Get RID of 'Christian Other' just put 'Other' it sounds too fundamentalist and crazy
Talk up lonewood star - is it a college? tel a story about it, a mistake , a redemption, funny ANYTHING, what elese u like about being there, cool teachers/students, making frineds etc..
message girls with something about what thye've written in their profile. | |

The first thing they do is look at your pics and if they don't like them, they don't respond. I've used POF on and off for a few years and I've written lengthy, heartfelt profiles. Sometimes I wrote very brief and uninteresting profiles just to see if there was much of a difference. There wasn't. Don't dwell on the unresponsiveness too much, and don't take the forum criticism too harshly. Live life. That's what I do. | |

Posted: 7/7/2012 12:01:53 AM | some women get like 3o or 40 messages a day. also, i am sure there are some women like me that don't like to chat. i hate it. i usually come on here really quick for like 10 min to answer an email or something. i don't have time to sit and just chat with someone for a half hour. i hate it! when people IM me, i just ignore it unless i know them. i do have some friends on here, and those are the people i might chat with.
