I agree. Men have a different perspective, because well, they see things differently.
But this isn't a man vs woman issue... This is a socially competent vs social reject issue.
Approaches are going to happen. The people so strongly against this idea, haven't once answered: How do you think people met each other before websites like PoF existed?

No shit, how do they think their parents met? Having an opinion is great. Having no logic to support it is ignorant.

| Why do men think it is okay to bother ladies at the gym? Posted: 7/15/2012 8:56:32 PM | @Rachel, thanks for a good laugh. . .that's one way to deal with unwanted attention. :D When that happens again to me, I just might do the same. Actually, one time of the times I unintentionally did something like that. Let's just say that I had my period, and don't usually wear a certain something, which I was wearing. Not to gross anyone out, but air got trapped in a certain place, so when I leaned over to lift up some weights, a sound came out that sounded like a wet fart. The older man (probably in his 50s) next to me in the stretching area gave a look like "I can't believe you did that" and scooted his mat to a much further area. I didn't feel like explaining, but I just tried really hard not to laugh. :D Or, another way to have someone move away would be to start scratching all over like you have fleas or a bad rash. | |

| Why do men think it is okay to bother ladies at the gym? Posted: 7/18/2012 4:55:39 AM | Fun fact: Encyclopaedia Britannica defines gymnasium as:
gymnasium, large room used and equipped for the performance of various sports. The history of the gymnasium dates back to ancient Greece, where the literal meaning of the Greek word gymnasion was “school for naked exercise.
--all of you have been doing it wrong...
Don't do the baggy clothes -- fully naked should be intimidating enough to scare most men off... lol

So obviously you have the standards, which is the bar, a coffee shop, you know the bookstore, THE GYM, you know, these are all places to meet people
Right out of the mouth of a woman... So, shut up about this, the thread is done.
Not every woman agrees that you don't meet people at the gym. So let this die already.

| Why do men think it is okay to bother ladies at the gym? Posted: 7/19/2012 2:42:37 PM | | to the OP,... i think it really all depends on how people (girls that don't like being approached) are approached in general, or maybe even an attraction thing,... i was just getting my oil changed, and i was waiting in line for wayyyy to long,... when this super attractive girl came in and was behind me in line,... she started a conversation cause we were all bored while waiting... anyway, we were talking about another place that we both get auto work done, and she told me she hates going there because she always gets hit on,... i decided not to hit on her after she told me she was there to NOT be hit on,... anyway, she got tired of waiting and decided to leave, she walked back and forth from the door, and went out,... came back in, and asked if i was single, i said yep, and she put her number in my pocket, smiled, and left,... soOoo i'm confused, but hey,... you girls are totally supposed to confuse us i guess... :P | |

^^^^^ Easy, Erik. You respected her boundaries, she sized you up in her mind and decided she liked you.
Creepy guys at auto service stations are some of the worst. It’s a very common complaint for women. Just because she doesn’t want to be visually and verbally mauled by some creepo at the car place doesn’t mean she wouldn’t like YOU. Nothing to be confused about.
Good luck. :) someone emailed me a responce that was pretty good, i'm leaving out the name, but its a pretty good answer and thanks for the email ;)
