Awaiting Supreme Court Decision on Health Care MandatePage 2 of 5    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
Paul,

We are discussing Health Insurance not housing.

As long as there are lobbyist allowed in Congressional offices and meetings I do not expect anything too grand happening that might benefit the majority (the majority who either paid their taxes or had/have relatives who paid their taxes for many years), The people just do not have the money to buy Congress like private corporations do and can.

After all, the people are too busy giving their money to shoddy businesses and the rest in taxes of one sort or another.

the Death Knell of the United States of America.

That was the Citizens United decision that put an end to this particular democracy...but perhaps not all is lost, given today's Supreme Court ruling.

all who are for Obama Care are TRAITORS to our country

I'm sure you have not even read it. If you had, you'd know that Obama plagiarised much of it from the Republicans. It was their idea to begin with, but was stolen by Obama. He does give credit to Romney, however. For some reason Romney is not taking bows for this one...Romney deserves as much credit for it as Obama. Of course this was all originally suggested by The Heritage Foundation and Newt Gingrich. The Heritage Foundation is now mostly funded by the Koch Brothers, so they should get some credit, too.

Perhaps you should say: "All who are for RomneyKochObamaNewtcare are TRAITORS to our country."

Myself, I'm all for it. I'd rather of seen single payer, but I can live with this, for now. And when I say Live With It, for a lot of people, that could be taken literally.

...taxation without representation.

Now you've got me wondering just how long it will be until a CERTAIN crowd starts replacing their profile pics with "don't tread on me" flags and calling for secession/revolution... And all because other Americans might now be able to afford health care...

the problem with Your country
is governments spend, spend, spend, and no one, ever bring up the taxes
remember, the USA, is still, the economic center of the world
if the USA, is hurting everybody else is too!
the united states wanted to be a super power, well that comes with a responsibility , all the world wants is good leadership, economic and otherwise
the opposite is happening
and both bush and obama have been terrible leaders, as far as the economy goes......
someday, someones going to have to pay for, the wars, bail outs, and everything else
so far who's paying, the world, and your great grand children

Yet another occasion where the REPUBLICAN STACKED Supreme Court, has acted to support something that certain extremists think is wrong, but said extremists still pretend that it's the Democrats and other non GOP people who are to blame.

A majority of the current Justices were Republican chosen, including the Chief Justice. Hence, if you silly people want to pretend that anything they decide is treason, then be certain that you do NOT vote Republican from now on, or that label of "traitor" will assuredly apply indelibly to YOU.

If a law is repealed, it no longer exists for any court to uphold it.

Repeal is the key term, and not appeal. My bad for mixing up the two.

I find it mighty funny that Smut, and other Republicans were all for healthcare reform before Obama brought it in, and now since being passed you all want to throw it under the bus and have it repealed come November in hopes that Smut is the new potus. Conservatives are just heated, and bitter because they didn't pass healthcare reform, and bitterly want to take away one of Obama's biggest accomplishments. I would think you conservatives had enough of your own hell bent bitterness, but it looks to be never ending.

all who are for Obama Care are TRAITORS to our country.

Foolish trolling as usual.

My point is proven.

Rushluv.. I'd like to ask.. where do you get your health care from?

My insurance come from Riverside County.

if you are a small business owner, with the original Obama health plan, it went up $500 a month at least... tell me... where are you getting this extra money to pay for this?

You'd be better of asking small business owners their opinion on this as I am not one.

....This will only hurt the middle class or what is left of us.. The poor will still receive free health care, as always... the rich, will be able to pay for theirs, as always....

I wouldn't jump the gun if I were you. Obamacare is set to cover every American, and if I am correct in my assessment, prices will vary.

I never thought it was sad for a majority of Americans to repeal a federal law.

Just a short time ago some were saying that SCOTUS was going to overturn the AHA..now it's going to be the will iof the people...well...sorry to tell you...at least 50% of us support AHA....put that in your pipe and smoke it...

I doubt you've even read Citizens United, let alone understand the reasoning behind the decision. But please don't let that stop you from making wild, overblown assertions.

Myself, I'm all for it.

I never doubted that for a moment.

I can live with this, for now.

Me too. But God willing, I won't have to live with it much past November.

.well...sorry to tell you...at least 50% of us support AHA

The polls have consistently shown no more than 40% of Americans support Obamacare. And unless Obama stays in office to veto any repealer law, it won't survive.

the new war is coming.

it's us against them.

the government is our enemy.

That's pathetically angry, if you don't get your way, try intimidation. Does this tactic work in your real life?

Can I go to the doctor yet? I mean if the whiners are done acting like those of us without healthcare shouldn't be allowed to have it, because I guess they are just that special.

More affordable......... hardly. The BEST analogy is when they told us that they were going to "give us" affordable housing........... Again, how did that work out? Again, both sides are complicit.............. there are no innocent ones, only those that were duped into thinking that a central govt. is going to make things cheaper for us.

Now, THAT is real comedy.

obviously, then, the military & police forces, as well as courts, etc., should be privatized as well, according to your 'logic' the government can never efficiently provide services, right?

Now if working hard to pay for my own things, and not wanting to be FORCED to pay for others for whom I don't want to pay for, makes me an ogre, then you can believe that all you want. I already pay for others, and it is NOT the govts. job to make sure I pay for others.

Supply Side Jesus would be proud.

Sadly, as in canada, there WILL be privatization of health care, AND military and police forces in the u.s..

Sadder still, there will be hidden costs charged, when dr. greed gets it in his head that the gov't isn't sending enough his way so he'll ONLY see the patients that can afford his new opted out status. The rest will get the pharma drugs.

When the poor people get mercury fillings and the rich get gold maybe and YOU'RE asked to take part in a new experiment that seems somewhere in the middle but is loaded with toxic "edible" oil product, maybe then you'll recognize that you should have gone with a simple clay mixture like your gut told you to do.

It's all a set up! Why do so many keep trusting criminals?
Oh right, I keep forgetting...we've been raised with poison from all angles.

Greed is rampant, recognize it. This isn't about caring for you anymore, even the real drs. and nurses know this and want to rip their hair out.

When the fear of lack, becomes too familiar or too far gone, and enough people get sick and angry instead of sick and tired, then maybe we'll see people looking after what is most important themselves and quit looking at the guilty **stards who set it all up this way to "solve" their issues for them, whether it be health care, policing, teaching, parenting or getting food.

Did the FDA /Monsanto save you? Did the medical "system" help you get better? Are politicians really smarter than you?

It's all a crock!

Wherein lies the problem............. ANYBODY and EVERYBODY is ALLOWED to have healthcare/healthcare insurance

If you have enough money that may be true. An example. My son was born disabled. He will always be disabled. He needs care for his entire life. In the United Sates he would never get health care because of his preexisting condition. It would be far too expensive. Under the Affordable Care Act he could get insurance.

The problem lies with the fact that I don't appreciate someone else dipping into my pocket so that they may be able to pay for THEIR healthcare/hsealthcare insurance

That is what is happening now. Under the present system people who do not have health care can show up at the local hospital emergancy and they have to be treated. Right now you pay for that. Once the mandate kicks in they will have to buy insurance for themselves. Instead of calling this "Obamacare" it really should be called "Make the freeloaders pay act"

Please come back when you achieve at least a 9th grade level of economics, until then, waste someone elses time.

Sorry for talking over your head.

Next time I will dumb it down to a 9th grade level for you.

"I never thought it was sad for a majority of Americans to repeal a federal law."

Augh, gee I thought it was you lecturing on the SCOTUS and Citizens United, and almost all people want the money out of politics. But based on Thomas and the boys decisions, the only way to do that is with a constitutional amendment.

I bet this has your panties in a bunch with your buddy KP, and the decision you so gleefully were awaiting? Kinda like waking up christmas morning and finding coal in your stocking! Hahahahahahahaha!!!!

I will take away the drama and tell you what supply side economics is, and then you can tell me how it relates to my statements of not wanting others to force me to pay for a particular service/product.

Supply-side jesus is not the real jesus.

The real jesus taught love, inclusiveness, and care for the poor.

Supply-side jesus is the invention of Republican Supply-side pseudo-christians to justify their false gospel of hate, bigotry, and care for the rich (greed).

Ergo: You not giving a dam about people who need help, makes supply side jesus happy.

Was that simple enough for you to understand?

Trickle down never works fairly, it just seems that way, to the rich.
It's the poor who usually give the most, but what they give isn't valued by the rich who actually believe the poor sponge off them.
Quite the spin eh?

Next thing you know, instead of hiring them, they'll build machines to do their dirty work for them and send them back to where they belong, to their own country to build the machines that take away their white slaves job, all under bad lighting of course, wouldn't want it caught on camera.
Or is this already happening? Hmmm...

Yep, trickle down is sure something to brag about.

Maybe it should be called the Golden shower!

Great........ Now tell me this...... is the coverage somehow magically less expensive, or is the difference in cost now borne BY OTHERS? Lets see now....... from those who have/can, to those who need......

No his care is not magically less expensive. He is quite frankly very expensive. And if I had to pay for his care out of pocket, well quite frankly it wouldn't happen. I don't have that kind of money. So the cost of his care is borne by others. But that is the kind of society we have decided to have up in Canada. People won't go bankrupt because of health care costs. We won't allow my son to not have care because he can't take care of himself.

Your second statment was about people being forced to purchase insurance for themselves........... You are aware what happens when people declare, and prove to a certain extent, that they cannot afford insurance?

Yes I am aware. Those that cannot afford insurance will have it subsidized by the taxpayer. But they are subsidized now. They go to the hospital emergancy room for urgent care. But under the new system they will have access to preventive care. And then maybe they won't need that expensive emergancy care.

Again it comes down to this. What kind of society do you want to live in. One that takes care of those that can't or one that throws the weak to the wolves.

Look. Those that are well off are always going to be able to pay for their cadillac care. Providing a countries population with basic health care should be a given. Public health care should be like public education. A service of government.

WOW! You guys have been really busy while I've been working all day!

I just read an article in the Washington Post which claims that.....The Affordable Care Act is expected (at least by the author) to CREATE a BUNCH of new entrepeneurs!!!! Apparently in the world of entrepeneurship there's a saying that the #1 thing a man needs to start a business IS.....a wife with a job which provides health insurance!!!!
Apparently, they believe that MANY talented people who work for large corporations WOULD love to break away and start there own companies...but are afraid to be without family health insurance. Apparently they believe that this is going to stimulate a slew of small local businesses......which...should be good for competition...right?

Ohhhhh, and BTW....the last poll that I saw says that Americans favor the Act by 52% for, 48% against.....just FYI.

Hey Pau...

You have no clue as to what I do or do not give a damN about, but seeing how total lack of knowledge has never stopped you from pontificating before, why should it now?

I never said I did, though that has never stopped you from making stuff up to justify your childish insults.

I was commenting on what you said, so if you have trouble dealing with being called out as someone who does not care about his fellow citizens than best not to post that you feel you are being forced to pay for someone else, because people may see that as you not giving a dam about other people.
