Has the definition of 'dating' changed and no one told me?Page 4 of 4    (1, 2, 3, 4)
Here is a tip fellas. If money is an issue, get creative. Go to websites that have cheap and free date alternatives. Then spend a few weeks scouting locations and planning things out. Then when you meet a woman you want to date, start putting them into effect. A woman with good intentions will only care about the chemistry and the company. If anything you will come off like a creative genus because you aren't doing the same old dates.

- Flea markets and farmer's markets
- Window shopping
- Free art exhibits
- Free sports activities like ping pong and basketball (Horse) where each point/shot results in a personal question, etc..
- Going for a drive with a book of conversation starters
- Day and night hikes
- The beach
- Bookstore tour
- A grocery store tour reflecting on favorite foods, spontaneous PDA against the freezer in the frozen foods, picking out a few items to make together, and a .99 movie from Redbox
- Frisbee Golf
- Grabbing a deck of cards or an Uno deck, packing a picnic, and going to a park
- Mini Golf, Bowling, Bocci Ball, and Pool (all cheap fun activities)
- Adult hide and seek in a library with texts for clues and spontaneous PDA
- Setting up a tent in the living room and making S'mores over a candle
- The Drive In (more creative than a theater, 2 for 1 movies, and you can bring in your own food)

The list can go on and on. If you can get creative enough, you can literally spend little to no money and never have it be an issue.

Hi, I am new at this whole dating game, so question if a women, spends the time buying a new outfit, having her nails done, hair done..and all tasks necessary to prepare themselves for a date, then in my thinking the man should pay for the initial date..
I guess I am old fashion in that sense, but I do agree, that it is not necessary for one to be taken to a 5 star restaurant, that there are many activities that can be enjoyable for both individuals. My girlfriend and I look for coupons for restaurants to get free entree's, its fun to have a meal that is free. What is up with long walks on the beach is this a ca. thing or what. How about music in a park, miss drive in movies, like the idea about book store, Barnes and Noble you can have coffee, a muffin and read a book. Enjoy your posts your a sweet guy..rdeffley hope i got that right...

I'm not in the dating world .. at least not the get all dressed up kind...but seems to me if a woman is doing all this:
spends the time buying a new outfit, having her nails done, hair done..and all tasks necessary to prepare themselves for a date
then isn't the man doing male stuff to get ready, too? I mean he needs a hair wash, maybe cut.. nice clothes.. good shave, whatever. I mean heck, women always say about how they get all "ready" for a date and so then he should pay for the date.. but the guy gets ready too.
