The only answer I can humbly submit is that they didn't reply because they're a douche! Perhaps they weren't such a smooth talker more Holla atcha type.
Not exactly relevant but kind of similar topic, my friend who introduced me to this site has an iphone with this site on, the way he explained it was you hit meet me, and keep pressing yes, lots of pictures get flicked through, then someone might view your profile or message you.

I swear the meet me feature send messages to people I NEVER suggested I want to meet. I think it broken.

the simple reason is that for online dating, your a dime a dozen. men send out thousands of messages to different girls. theres a good chance they don't even remember who you are.

because your at home reading the emails alone, unlike in a bar where they're are other girls in your immediate vicinity (active competitors), you don't see this

this is also why a girl online has a hyper inflated false ego

I have emailed people who wanted to meet me and didn't hear back. I have emailed people I clicked on wanted to meet and nothing. I just looked at my who i want to meet and there were a bunch of women I don't ever remember clicking on I want to meet.

wait, it does? I tested this out with a fake profile when I first came on here to make sure if I clicked maybe it didn't sent a notification... so has this changed within the past 6 months or so? And if so, what is the point of "maybe" if does the exact same thing as "yes"?

It might be more useful if you actually had to look at someone's profile to click on "Meet Me", but as it is, they're just saying they like your photo. I stopped responding after the first few women who clicked "Meet Me" on my profile never replied. It's pretty useless feature, especially on a free dating site.


I have not been on this site long and wondered if the Meet me thing was fake or system generated and that now appears to be somewhat true. Because of my background (geek) , I am not going to appeal to too many women and figured something was up with all those Meet me messages. Thanks for clearing this up.

It's already been said, but really, it is mostly an attraction meter... based solely on looks, would you be interested in this person... yes/no/maybe... It DOES help in one way, I have clicked on a couple to check their profiles... but then usually there's something that doesn't go so good... but sooner or later you find a nice pic and a nice profile...
