| Favorites List?????
Posted: 5/21/2008 8:34:36 AM | I just had one take me off his list and take him off my list. A few guys have done that because of a disagreement or something and I did not care. But that last one hurt a lot because he knew me and he knew it would hurt me! There is malice and it killed a friendship which I thought was very strong.
Other than that, favourites lists are not my concern. I have a short list and they are there so I can easily find them. ;) Where I am on someone's list is entirely beyond my control and it is on a see saw depending on a lot of things that have nothing to do with me. | |

So I then wonder why they continue to do repeat views of my profile then? IF I'm not good enough to add you to my favorites list then WHY continue to do repeat views of my profile? | |

I don't pay much attention to who has added me to theirs.

I don't know if its just me, but i think it is hilarious that someone will put you on their favorites list and never drop you an email or anything. What is the point of being on your favorites then? Wishful thinking won' get you a date. Say hi or something. Anyone else get this?
OP: I gave a toaster out to #500 on my list. She wasn't impressed, but I thought it was a nice thing to do. | |

It's not that they Repeatedly view your profile . . only that they viewed it _Sometime_
in the past . . and they are Online...Now..!!
A minor system fault...
If I put a Lady on my Fav's List that I'm unable to contact Directly...
{like 'sweetdee' above : Lovely Eyes!!!}..
[because of being Marginally outside one of her parameters..
{some can be 'adjusted' for personal taste..!!} ]
. . Maybe she might reconsider me .. if I show interest in HER...
and let Her initiate contact..!!

Yes lilslefty. I guess that does make you two in a million.......
But as i have already said, If i am good enough to add to a persons favorites then i should be good enough to speak to. If a person likes to add me to there favorites because they like to follow my forum post all they have to do is ask. So far i have one on my favorites list that asked before she put me on her favorites. She said she liked following my forum post. I told her sure, go ahead, no problem. I don't speak to her but she had the courtesy to ask me first.The other one i asked and i do speak to her off and on. | |

wutznot2love, I respectfully disagree. I can't tell you how many women add me to there favorites list and never say a word to me. When i see someone add me to there favorites list i take a look at there profile and if i like what i read i send that person a message. You know what i get? Read, delete, ignore. Sorry, but it kinda pisses me off when someone adds me to there favorites list but doesn't answer my message. If a woman is interested in me say something when i message. If all she wants to do if follow my forum post because she thinks my answers are interesting, say something when i message. To me not answering a persons message after putting them on your favorites list is, well, creepy. One more thing, I don't add someone to my favorites list just because they added me. Unless i have spoken to that person and know what they have in there mind. Me personally, I don't add persons for trophy's. I have seen men and women both with anywhere between 250 to over 700 on there favorites list. That just don't make good sense. I let mine get up to 5 people one time. 3 of them i never spoke to and never spoke to me. I sent each one a message, all i got was read delete. Then i deleted them. | |

Personally I put men on my favorite list as a reminder to say hello later...sometimes I am just responding to e-mails, or checking out the forum and don't have the time to really read their profile, or that I find them interesting and want to be able to find then at a later date.
I also have to admit that not everyone that has added me to their fav. list I have spoken with, but I chose to be proactive and say hello anyways, the response is usually a good one.
If people are adding you and then deleting your message, you should delete them.
I have also had men who have added me, just to keep track of me online, even though I have told them that I do not think we are a good match....I call that stalking so I usually just delete them. Other than that I just maintain a nice online friendship with my contacts, just casual chat, and nothing more, why not? am still single....
relax people, this is after all a dating/friendship site and it can also be called good networking...continue to have fun and safe fishing to all | |

Posted: 5/25/2008 6:40:45 PM | i think there are many reasons to have people on your favourites list. it is a way to keep people 'organized' so to speak. personally i have contacted most people on my favourites list and got such a small percentage of responses back (and i have a lot on my list)
i keep them there so i can use that list as reference of people who aren't interested. many times when i'm surfing profiles, i come across the same ones numerous times and if i see one i like and can't remember if i've contacted them yet, i can quickly refer to the 'list'. because my pet peeve is someone who keeps messaging me over and over even though i'm not interested, so i don't want to do the same to somebody else.
of course there are the few that have deleted me once i have added them to the list, but i don't know why because what do they care really? | |

texasguy, you've been on site since July 2005 ~ you such know that this is a communite of cyberfriends and must more. The favorite list is a "feature only"and bypasses restrictions and offers tracks. ~ Many men and women are on my favoite list and it represents my efforts to communicate and involvement. ~ I can be away fo rdays or weeks ~ and still quickly find my friends, ~ They don't expect anything of me and I don't expect anything of them, except to be a constant identy. ~ and on occasions some of us do get together.
These is many worthy of note here, There is Nona, Ron 9, designingwoman, curlygirl, topgear, Sunnytexas, astrostar, JustJim, and the list goes on and on `way too many to mention all in name. `

I'm just a little bit too shy to actually put someone I want to date on my fave's unless I've already messaged them and we're continuing to message back and forth over time. After they've already received a message from me, they should know I want to date them -- they don't normally have to guess. On the other hand, people can be slow..
