| is gentlemanly behavior and chivalry still important? Posted: 8/20/2008 1:23:55 PM | Most definitely.... Mean who treat a lady with gentlemanly respect , the little gestures(eg holding the door open) goes a long way.. There is a fine line tho between being a gentleman and slatherin on the "smarm" .. I don't respect a fawning suck up.. But the subtle nuances of a man treating a women with courtesy and manners is impressive, appreciated and desirable in an age where too many men don't really have a clue..
** An addendum: If he is a "gentleman" in the bedroom though - ugh , no thx! That would be a deal breaker and he would get flushed fast... *smirk*

| Interesting New Blog Article Regarding Manliness and Gentlemanly Behavior Posted: 3/14/2009 9:01:42 AM | i would say so yes. i dont expect a guy to throw his best coat over a puddle when im walking but nice little things like holding open a door or helping you on with your coat ,thanking you for a date etc are all really nice. having a door swung in my face,my coat thrown at me and told you can go now isnt quite the same somehow | |

I have found that those who are not comfortable with it or are disgusted by it, are the ones that are in no way shape or form what IM looking for. Very indepedant women with the modern tendencies have no intentions of intertaining my way of thinking. Not bad...just not a match. Its simply how I was raised and where my heart is. Nothing more! Also what I found is that there are very few of those ladies out there that like it. Interesting to say the least.
