[I agree that women don't want to date older guys.]

I don't know about that. It seems that it's mostly younger women who are attracted to me. Seems to be a family trait. My dad is married to a woman whos only 11 years older than I am and they've been married for 25 years. My mother is nearly 10 years younger than my dad as well.

When I was 26 I started dating a 19 year old college student. Her parents were far from thrilled. They invited me to thier home with the intent to "run me off" I think, But instead they warmed up to the idea of me dating thier daughter. I guess they figured out that I really cared about her.

I still run into her mother on occasion. She says she wishes we had stayed together. Apparently my old girlfriend quit school got married to a guy she had gone to highschool with. He turned out to be a drunk and lazy and she ended up working an endless string of factory jobs to support him and the 3 kids.

"But I'm curious why on earth you are on a dating site when you obviously don't think much of women?"

MCS, I'm afraid that I don't really understand your post.

If you deny that most women are shallow and have poor values, then I must respectfully submit that you have met different women than I have.

If you admit that most women are shallow and have poor values, then why are you blaming me for their behavior? I am just reacting to it, not causing it.

Sorry to be argumentative. Talk at ya later. Road Cyclist

My mother and father are 17 years apart. My father was fighting in World War 2 the same year my mother was born! They have been married for 47 years, we have a pretty big family (26 people at the last family together and not everyone could make it) and both my parents are still living.

Age really doesn't matter, what matters are the two people involved in the relationship...

I couldn't date a woman who was much younger because I would be wondering why she didn't want someone else. Not that I will ever have that problem, but that's what I think about it.

my girlfriend is closer to my daughters age than to mine but we seem to be getting along great so far(6 months) she's 19 and i'm 35. so far thats the biggest age difference in a relationship i've had. of course, some of the guys at work give me crap about it sometimes, but only jokingly.

My g/f is 19 years younger than I(42/23). We have a wonderful relationship. Sad to say it is others that can't seem to accept or BELIEVE that we are truly happy. Its useless to argue with these people, they believe that they know our relationship better than us. Weather its a woman with a younger man (ex Mrs. Bruce Willis anybody?) or vise versa, give them the benefit of the doubt. They just might be madly in love...TRULY!

Dear RC, I have seen the blank look your speaking of, and yes there are men that wouldn’t be caught dead ‘shopping’ with their wife, lover or girl friend.

But then I live in Texas; if you’re a “man” living below Dallas you are among the “Blank” looks.

If you live above Dallas you enjoy being with women, no matter where you go with them, and if you live in Dallas you have become so ‘wise’ in the ways of women you don’t care where you are with them, you are in control of the whole situations.

You Think I Joke…..?????????

Dating older, more mature men (50 to 69 [never dated anyone over 69 because no one older has ever ask me out]) is like going from a Ford to a Mercedes. And the special options package is so much better !!!!!!

They know where to go to have fun and they take you along, not leave you at home.

They know how to order.

They know how to dress.

They have a great deal to say because they have lived it.

They listen to what a women is saying, not just half of it, and they comment.

They laugh when you say something ‘silly’ instead of putting you down.

They tell you how great you look.

They say sweet things to you with out covering it up with a smirk.

AND THEY KNOW WHAT FOREPLAY IS…………!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I just wished more of them wanted women in their 50’s instead of 30’s)

Sherlock

Sorry for the double post.

I agree Lady Sherlock, when I was young man I thought foreplay had something to do with golf. Now of course I'm well informed, nicely matured in oak and ready for pouring. The impatient loins of youth are gone, and the subtle yet verile flanks of middle age are in operation. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeehaa

I guess I'm classed as an older man now (43), and I'd say that once I hit 40 the world opened up I dated women from 18-35, it's the perfect combination, they really appreciate the money and luxury I could afford to give as well as not being as selfish as I used to be. It seemed to be very attractive to them. You should hopefully be less selfish, a little set-up and know what you want by the time you get to 40. It's hard to find that in younger men. Eventually I got married to a women 10 years younger than me, that's a good combination.

I saw some one say yes us older Men have x's and kids, not all.
I assume I am close to the older catagory, at least middle, however I've never been married and have no kids, I am 38, I've been thru enough crap to force anyone to grow a bit, or snap.
Well, I didn't snap, actually things are getting better all the time, sh*thits the fan its easier to deal with, not saying its easy, just easier and have much more hope of getting thru each situation.
Also enjoy the good times alot more, which I contribute to older age and experience.
So in my opinion, I would say yes a Woman thats looking for a stable guy, one that can commit and stick by her side would benifit from an older guy.
However this is not in all cases, as we know some people never get a grip, and some get a grip very early in life, for me, its pretty much been my thirtys, more growing in the last 9 years than ever.
I, myself am hoping to find someone close to my age, I think one of my best relationships was with a Lady close to my age, I have been with older and younger.
Younger, I seem to not be able to see eye to eye on enough stuff, older, they seemed, older, maybe intimidating to me, being older. I probably would feel different about it now, its been about 13 years since I was with an older woman.
Well enough from me.

Well am over fifty but look 37 and go clubbing house and rave the funny thing is I always get younger ladies as young as (23 years at the moment) attracted to me and date them and have fun

I think young ladies look for maturity, love, understanding, security, experience, and wisdom in their dating with older men as far as we are happy there is no age limit. I had few long term relations and many short terms.

Being tantric guru, counsellor, and healer helps if you have the time and energy, yes grooming mind body and spirit with healthy out look in life reflects your inner self and serenity which is missing in today’s drink/drug/smoke society .

I have to have an older man...on the average, at least in my experience, older men are far more sensual, and thoughtful. Who wants to treat love-making like a drive-thru experience? older men know how to deliver a seven course meal, and still leave you wanting more...lol
