| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 7/7/2007 9:16:05 AM | Hey ripley, I agree with everything you said, but I also look for respect and a guy that knows how to treat a lady. When I say not to do something that is suppose to be between us I expect that the guy will respect that. There needs to be respect for me, I have been hurt in the past and so for me I won't take anything less than that. Looks, well looks are only skin deep. I look at a person from the inside out and not the outside in. Margie | |

| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 7/9/2007 10:01:49 PM | | I don't have trouble finding dates, what I have trouble with is being disrespected by a guy. Lets face it when you are on a date, you don't expect your date to leave you at your table and go and ask another lady that he doesn't even know for a dance and then leave her and come back to you like nothing is wrong with that. | |

| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 7/10/2007 1:08:16 PM | personally I would never leave a woman at a table and go talk to another one, thats just rude. I guess I was brought up differently, I wait until my date goes to use the ladies room before I hit on someone else. LMAO
just kidding ladies, don't start slamming me yet

| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 7/31/2007 6:03:56 PM | Sorry, I had to look at your profile on 'dat.. LOL
On a side note, and back to the topic: You know, I am a virgin on POF, and I am saving myself for, ummm, something? Does anyone actually date on POF? And more specifically in Michigan? And yes, I know the story of "Miss Michigan", thank you very much.

| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 7/31/2007 6:52:42 PM | | I've been asked out by a number of men on here....but jeez after hearing all the horror stories from other women it kinda scares a girl off....however, I recently had my first date from here....we went on a picnic and fishing....Might not be some women's cup of tea, but I had an awesome time....didn't have any worries if my hair was messed up or if there was a spot on my top, cause I had wormy fingers, my pant legs rolled up, and i was just smiling all day...try a picnic date you guys, just the informality alone makes it an easy one | |

| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 8/14/2007 5:01:40 PM | The settings on your profile can prevent some good people from contacting you. There are many profiles that I would have responded to but wasn't able to. A number of American gentlemen show that they want to meet someone that is within 75 miles of them but, if you read further, they specify the lady must live in USA. I live close to the border and many American cities are closer to me than most Canadian cities. I can get to a lot of Michigan events within an hour but have to drive twice that distance to get to a major city in Ontario. Several men that took the time to respond stated that they want to find someone closer. They were half an hour from me. Too many people aren't willing to put any effort into trying to meet someone. That also applies to the ones that won't spend the time it takes to fill out their profile. I pass by those profiles because, if they won't make that effort, they aren't likely to put forth much effort to save a relationship when it hits a rough patch.
Too many people look at the cover before taking the time to read the information about the person. I was very popular at social events when I was able to weigh less. I used to have to hide in the washroom to be able to sit out a dance without hurting anyone's feelings. Now, the same men won't even say hello at the dances. I'm one of those people that has had to battle with weight all my life. A car accident made daily workouts and long walks impossible. I'm greatful to be alive and have the attitude that it's their loss if they choose to ignore me when I say hello to them at the dances or when I message them on here.

| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 8/14/2007 5:14:06 PM | | crebrlfem, you are so right. As far as the tatts, there's a "lady" that stays at the same trailer park as I do on weekends. Smoking and other addictions have given her twice the wrinkles that women her age normally have. Wrinkled tatts are not pretty. ewww | |

| WHATS A GUY GOT TO DO TO GET A DATE IN THIS TOWN Posted: 8/18/2007 7:13:30 PM | Ideally, within 75 miles...sure..however, what I have seen on this site, is to go with where you are celebrated. So I expand my profile. I have heard of those far away who wish I was closer, I have heard from those close by who say that you are not close enough, those that won't return the courtesy of the first email, those who aren't ready. I would rather take the time with those of whom make the time, no matter the distance, who celebrate me. | |
