When a woman can't show off her legs in a short skirt, because her legs are way too heavy. Too heavy for a woman to be feminine. 30 pounds or more overweight. Should it get even more extreme, like 50 pounds or more overweight, then it becomes obesity.

From your photos your certainly not fat. As far as being hit on by older guys, geez, they were probably hitting on you all along you just didn't pay them any attention. Go back to doing that you'll be just fine. If you are comfortable with you that will make more difference than anything. A persons body structure and how they carry themselves has alot to do with how well they are recieved.

You should never really go by the scale, not accurate at all. Can't tell if you have muscle or fat. You should find out your BMI(Body Mass Index), to get an idea for your height and age. Then you can easily have your body fat tested in several different ways. Basically, the pinch an inch(es) test is good, how clothes fit, mirror, take pictures to compare etc. Like many people said, double chin, thick wrists or ankles(not bone), discomfort, hanging over clothes, swinging under arms when waving are good indicators. Really up to whether or not you feel comfortable. If friends and family are making comments, they are not trying to hurt you, just help before it gets out of hand. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, hit me up. I will be getting certified as a personal trainer next month when I get home. Take care.

The way I see it is "overweight" is a medical term. It has to do with your height and weight and the ratio of body fat to muscle mass, etc. If someone is overweight, it is advisable to change their lifestyle and diet so they can become healthier again.
Beyond that, there are subjective terms like the ones we use here in POF: Thin, Athletic, Average, A Few Extra Pounds.....I'll give you my personal take on these but every person will see it differently because they are subjective.
Thin......well, that's pretty obvious
Athletic..would suggest higher than average fitness and activity levels, muscle tone, etc.
Average..a huge category that includes about 80% of us
A Few
Extra Pounds...I would guess that would be what some people call "chunky", "thick", "rubinesque" etc.

My guess is that Average isn't used enough and a few extra pounds is used to describe BBW. To a certain degree, what you see it as is all that is important but at the same time you are trying to accurately describe yourself to a potential date and you want to be honest about that all the time too.

Sad thing is , my confidence & self esteem are directly related to my weight at the time. If i've gained some ,my day/week is bad until I lose it again , the opposite is true when I lose off course then my confidence is pretty good.
Im working on it though , working on my self esteem that is.

great you're working on the self-esteem...but you truly have no worries, your pics are awesome (except that rodent thing..eek).

I agree with many of the previous posts suggesting the media has set an unrealistic expectation for women to live up to. I believe if your healthy, satisfied and confident you will certainly catch my attention. Healthy being the key word.

I believe that I am one of the most liberal guys when it comes to judging a woman by her weight. I know that alot of guys say, "height proportionate to weight," and I believe that's a valid remark. I feel that a woman can still have a proportionate figure and be 5'7" and 180. So the only standard that I could come up with without asking their weight is less or greater than 200lbs? This way they do not have to give their weight and they can just answer "yes" or "no". I'm 180 and 6'1" and I'm not skinny, but I'm not overweight either. If a woman is greater than 200lbs. and is 5'10" or smaller, she might need to lose weight cause it could be damaging to her health. I prefer larger built women, but I also like a woman with a curve, so I think that it is possible to date a large women, but still has a shape. I am not conceited by any means, but I feel there is someone out there for everyone and hopefully they can find that person.

I define overweight as loss of body tone. You look at some one and they are a little plump but not grossly obese. Anyone can be overweight height tends to determine the severity of how much it shows. If you are short, you're going to look overweight noticeably while a tall person would just seem fuller....lol...if that makes sense.

Society's standards of "overweight" are pretty extreme. Actresses and actors get told all the time to drop pounds. Personally, overweight to me is getting to the point of say, your triple chin or something, but I find some extra pounds quite sexy. There are alot of women who are in great shape, but they're just not stick figures. I find skeletal women to be very unattractive.

HeHeHe Junk in the trunk eh? Gots enuff of that for sure. I've been bigger and I've been smaller and to be honest I could care less what the opinion of the opposite sex is because It really hasn't done anything to influence my dating/relationship/sex etc besides weed out all the superficial **stards. Don't worry about it unless your health is at risk or your your self confidence really is affected by it. Winters are f*ckn cold up here so a little extra insulation won't hurt hahaha

It's all about how you see yourself and how you carry it (I know cleche) but it's true, I tested it, the solution JUST DON'T CARE HOW THEY SEE YOU, BIG WOMEN GET MEN LITTLE WOMEN GET MEN, JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T GET THAT ONE THAT YOU WANT RIGHT THERE AND THEN YOU WILL GET ONE

A smile can hide 10 lbs from a guys eyes

if you suck it in guys can tell, if you cover it up you look like a school marm, if you wear tight clothes you look like a beached whale, just be comfortable don't eat mind posioning foods (i.e. McDick's because it really does produce a chemical causing you to skew your vision of yourself), and don't look in mirrors unless you really need to

If you don't pay attention to it you won't care about a little weight or not

Now if you happen to be one of those people who will lose their breath over a flight of stairs I don't care what gene, thyroid, disorder you have you're fat, no if ands or buts, it's sad it's mean it's true
GO TO A GYM, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND EAT A SALAD, and not a Mcdick's processed 3% vegetable salad, put down the butter and salt pick up a carrot

If you sit down on a chair and you fall right through it, you could probably stand to lose a few :P (no pun intended).

Juuuust teasing. You actually look nice in your pics, so you are fine (but thats just my opinion). I actually struggle with this problem, albeit the exact opposite. I am under weight ... standing at 6ft tall and weighing in around 157 - 163. I often wonder if people, men or women, look and me and think "good grief, its anorexic boy." But I think that is more of a confidence thing than anything. I have tried and tried to gain weight, but to no avail. Changed eating habits, went to see a nutritionist, took kickboxing for four years and trained like a son of a gun ... nadda. At my peak, I weighed 176 which is still nothing to brag about.

At the end of the day, it's all about how YOU see yourself. If you feel like you could lose/gain a few, then you obviously have to. If you are comfy with who you are and your appearance, then you go girl. Dont worry about what others thing and be happy with yourself ... which is basically something I tell myself everyday :)

As a girl who had a eating disorder for many years, I am so much happier being a little overweight than starving, throwing up, being skin and bones and very unhappy. Sometimes I see really thin girls on the street and I just want to shake them and tell them that there are more important things to worry about than how much you weigh. And when I go looking for a partner myself, I would rather someone chunky and happy than skinny and sad....

It's not the curves, I like curves.
It's the buldges.
