Hey people... seems like most here in Sin City are spending all their energy to work and coming here is kind of put on the back burner... There is also the "Singles" forum in the RJ website that some go to... Seems like singles here in Vegas, even if they want to find someone, just kind of kick back and wait for someone to find them.

Still thinking of having a get together? I am a member of a Las Vegas Goth Forum at Meetup. They have get togethers almost every month. Seems like the other singles in the area would do the same... How you gonna meet anyone if you don't go out and meet anyone...LOL

Hey ya Peeps,
Would non-locals be allowed to come to a meet and greet if it should so happen to fall on one of the nights I will be visitng. I am a Reg in the POF BC room and think it would be a hoot to meet more POF'ers elsewhere?

Vegas rocks and I was there this past week, everyone is friendly and even locals I met who work in some places always ask if you are enjoying your stay and I would love to attend a getogether if I was in town. Always enjoy meeting new people.

although surely this was directed to an above poster, Marcus is the name of the admin that created and runs PoF; so, sorry, but i just found the post amusing. i know, it's not too funny. guess you'd have to be here. i do mean, um, in my head, but well, that would get rather crowded...

from http://travel.msn.com/Guides/guidemaincontent.aspx?destinationId=18152&RecId=0013026877&entity=attractions:

"Sin City Inverted~ If you want to get away from the glitz and kitsch or just go where most of the tourists don't go, here are several "un-Vegasy" things to do, kindly supplied by James P. Reza, Geoff Carter, and the editors of the Las Vegas Weekly.

Double Down Saloon. Sin City's coolest bar, hands down. Enjoy cocktails, plug songs into the world's wildest jukebox, admire the bizarre mural work by Vegas artists, or just mingle with local characters and the occasional celebrity.

West Sahara Library Fine Arts Museum, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. (tel. 702/507-3630). Don't laugh. Las Vegas has its very own gala art museum, ensconced in the most impressive building built in the valley since Wayne Newton set up residence. Built to Smithsonian specs, the museum is one of the few urban buildings in Vegas that lends a sense of space and quality to the surrounding stucco. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9am to 9pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday from 1 to 5pm.

The Arts Factory. Las Vegas's premier artist collective maintains a gallery inside the "Arts Factory" art compound. The CAC's unique vision of this town is too good to miss. Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 5pm.

Jazzed Cafe & Vinoteca. Run by professional dancers Kirk Offerle and Connie Chambers, this tiny, elegant bistro stays open until the wee hours, lit by candles and the brilliance of the clientele. Great java, terrific wine list.

Floyd Lamb State Park, I-95 North; exit at Durango. This huge former working ranch once served as a forerunner of those trendy "desert spas" so popular in Scottsdale. Today you'll find acres and acres of grassy picnic areas; walking, hiking, biking, and horse trails; huge shade trees; and two lakes. Wanna be a true native? Always call it "Tule Springs."

Chinatown Mall, 4255 Spring Mountain Rd. The Occident meets the Orient in a big way. A prodigious meeting of great restaurants, interesting shops, and unique amenities, all with roots buried deep in the Far East."
all unique, interesting to check out...

All good things to do...also "First Friday" is good..it's like a big art festival. On the down side.. trying to meet women at these is marginal... Or so I have found... Actually trying to meet women anywhere in Vegas is marginal... especially if you are older (like I am)...

softEDGE,

I don't know what it is going to take to get these fish swimming.

I posted news about a good group called "True Passion" playing at HB's (Thursday) and Mr. D's (Friday) this past week but, I did not see any fish swim in too check them out (both nights). They are a VERY GOOD group and I am sorry you all missed them.

"True Passion" will be playing at HB's (W. Flamingo & S. Rainbow) again the next two Thursday nights, starting at 8:00 PM. They do 3 1-hour sets. Come on down for the first set at 8 PM and you can still get home for some by 9:30 PM if you don't like what you hear.

They blew out the place at Mr. D's on Saturday Night. Everyone loved them and the bar tender thought they were AWSOME! F'n AWSOME!!!!

If you snooze , you have no one to blame by yourself. If you want to meet some nice people get out of the house people. No one is going to find you at home in front of the TV.

If you want to learn Swing, there are free lesons available on Sunday Nights.
Check it out at - dancegig (dot) com
They start right at 7PM SHARP, so try not to be late....
If your late, your still welcome to come on down an join in.
It runs 2 hours and most of the group are single .

Sorry to hear that. I hope your better now.

True Passion will be playing tonight (Thurs 10/12/06) 8:00 PM at HB's on W. Flamingo Rd. & S. Rainbow Blvd.
They were called back to play at Mr. D's (Friday 10/13/06) S. Rainbow and W. Oakey Friday night starting at 9:30 PM.

A few fish have an interest in coming out tonight .

Maybe you can make one of the two nights .
