| How do you know you're in love with someone?

When they do silly things that don't make sense to anyone but you...
When you can read their mind, without them ever having said a word...
When you feel like chopping off someone's head if they dare say anything negative about them, even if it may be true!
When you're 80 years old, and you're still holding hands!
When you look at them on their worst day and don't even notice it...
When you look in their eyes, and that's all the assurance you need...
When you can't think straight or concentrate because you have no idea where they are...
When you worry about their well being instead of getting mad because they didn't call you...
When you're soooo proud of any accomplishments they do...
When you want to be there for them to support them in all ways...
When they've gotten into your mind, heart and soul, and you can't function without them.
When they make you want to be a better person...
When all you do is look at them, and that takes your breath away...
Ever see that look two people in love have for each other? When you're really in love you will!  | |

I have felt lust but it died not long afterwards because the persons I lusted over didn't feel the same way. I have loved some guys who I still consider my dearest friends. I have been in-love and have felt the heartache of knowing it wasn't going to work for whatever reason.
If it's only lust it will pass with time. When you are in-love, you start loving the person more and more each day. They grow on you like fungus! LOL
True love grows with time. Anything else fades with time. That's how you tell the diff. | |

Posted: 12/28/2005 9:44:58 PM | Gee you have a good imagination,but it is cute,if you can get through camping in the rain and survive in the tent for a day or two lol,thats pretty good .I think no matter what it is both men and women experience both when they are attracted to one another as its only natural for this to happen.you also feel like a teenager again lmao,and one of my gf said she had felt the same way when she met her partner at first,then it develops more with time ,which makes sense.Human beings can be funny sometimes,but at least we can laugh at our selves sometimes. | |

I must be doing something wrong. What the heck do I have to do.....rip my clothes off and say "hey, come on baby lets' go for it!". I really didn't ask that question did I? LOL
Actually, I do know what my problem is. I'm not the type of person to say "hey, come on baby lets' go for it!" cause I'm a little on the shy side when it comes to guys. No criticism please. It is who I am and that's not going to change much. | |

Posted: 12/29/2005 6:49:42 PM | Unfortunately people's "issues" can destroy love or make it too difficult. Just because we fall in-love with somebody doesn't mean he/she is right for us. Plenty of broken hearts out there. What does it matter if it starts out as lust. If you like each other, enjoy your time together and see where it takes you. Take a chance. It may just grow into love. At least if it doesn't work, you enjoyed the trip.
I met a guy once, thru a friend at the gas pumps. He had the most awesome smile and a hunk as far as I was concerned. He then came looking for me at my work. We dated for three months until his ex-girlfriend came back on the scene. I was ga, ga over him. It took me six years before I actually gave my heart to anyone again. Today I know if I was to see him, my heart would race...but I have long since realized that we were not right for each other. But I hold fond memories of those days.
You just never know...so who cares how it starts out. | |

Growing up with someone only to have to leave them to move out of state...you promise you'll come back and for seven years you don't date anyone because you know she's the love of your life. You keep in touch and finally at the end of those seven years you see her again...only now she's engaged to be married two days later. There's obvious sparks between the two of you but you see how happy she is...so you do the right thing and let her go.
THAT is when you know you're in love with someone...wanting them to be happy no matter what, even if its not with you. | |
