| How do you know you're in love with someone?
Posted: 3/28/2006 4:49:56 AM | the last time and quite possibly the only time i've truly been in love, whenever he was around i would shake uncontrollably and blush, i could feel my heart pounding in my chest and on at least one occasion my legs just buckled beneath me when he turned up unexpectedly. he always made me happy and we could communicate with our eyes. he always put the sparkle im mine and no matter how low we felt we could always bring each other out of it, he was always on hand to give me advice and support and we only occasionally had sex so i know it wasnt lust still they say its better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all so i guess im lucky | |

however, good signs are thinking of them a lot, (ie: first thing when u wake up, last thing at nigt); finding yourself wanting to know more and more about them; feeling jealous if u see someone else around them that could potentially be a threat.... | |

I am by no means an expert on love-this being my first time ever in it... but I really believe that by letting the other person see you as you truly are - with no pretenses - you trust them enough to be able to love them, and let them love you in return. Love is really something that you have to be open to - and you need to love yourself before you can really let others love you. There needs to be a foundation of trust, respect, chemistry, and communication that is built together before love can occur, in my opinion. | |

They will do very odd things to see the person, go out late, do random acts that they normally would never consider, buy things that they know they should not buy, say things that would normally not be said, skip work just to see their love.. Weather people choose to believe this or not I do agree with a large portion of it.. People I have seen in love, including me and one of my ex's would do anything to see eachother.. | |

Posted: 1/17/2007 7:39:12 AM | you post sounds like you are definitely on the right track. I have found that people are all looking for love but fall short of knowing what it really is. Now that I am older I realize that infatuation and meeting mr perfect or ms. perfect is not the deal.
True love grows with time!!! and it takes some work for both but it should be fun too!

I was reading through the posts on How do you know you're in love? I think you put it best. It is something that has to grow with time. Sure there must be a spark or it will just be a friendship. So it seems a friendship needs to be built with a spark and there you have it.
In any case, I would like it to work like that for me.
Your last sentence, I'm not sure you can know in the beginning. Excellent.
My interpretation of that is that Love is Risk and also maybe it is good not to know in the beginning because after all it takes time and needs to be built...built on rocks not sand. | |
