Betwixt the moon and Draco fair
many thousand years ago
coldness bled on fair Sumer
within the twilights glow
Gilgamesh to Ur had travelled
blaze of armoured might
firmament became unravelled
into endless strife
Within that tainted history
birthing took its place
a miasmatic mystery
leeching out of space
Heroes cried as forests died
deserts sought new claims
Tigris and Euphrates vied
little else remains
Unstoppable the gritty creeping
through the verdant lands
far below the blackness seeping
under crueller sands
Exhuming now a petrie dish
formented in base power
only greed proclaims the wish
children die each hour

mishapen fuzzy dregs
lonely swathe of burial robes
wreathe the tufted legs
translucent in its palour
wisp of what could be
captured by its shedding
in grim fragility
flattened head so weak
no life in dulling eyes
monsters hand appearing
still attempts to strive
moisture in the offering
dry the tongue that sips
reptilian the shuddering
deadened skin now slips
enlivened; crawling
bodily so frail
beyond the door onto the floor
free the tufted tail

Four days of lizard here
poor little bugger was too dry to shed properly
we gave him a swim and drink
flipped loose the bits of dried skin
Each day he came back to get more done
all clean and hopefully happy today
Maybe we'll see him again
Maybe not
So very cool

i am getting rather excited
thinking of my bed.

excited about the thoughts
of my bed.

Their is so much to be told about just being kind and caring in this world. People in general I see are very SELFISH they more in tuned of the places they've been or what they are wearing. Instead of saying "Geezzz I wonder what so and so is doing today" or "Let me help you"? No...BS really mean it all from the heart. Over and over I say we are here for a purpose in life...What is yours??? | |

There is a fair bit of meaningful writing in here
You just have to find it
Remember that what is meaningful to one person can be gibberish to another
If you are looking for bleeding heart dribble; this is probably the wrong place to play
If you look for hallmark style purely positive gushy stuff; it has no real place in here
My purpose in life?????
Knowledge and adrenalin will do for starters
To help others visualise will be a nice second course
Compare these two short poems
Long ago I watched her naked in the moonlight
dappled with those silver rays
This memory will stay with me forever
A short moving picture of her in silhouette
Captured by the moonlight
one moment lost in time
Her vignette in silhouette
lies gentle in my mind
One is a poem
One is a short story spoken slowly
If you enjoy the second one
drop back and play anytime

One thing very strange keeps appearing
But it only appears when a relationship is having trouble or teething problems etc
Then the ghouls gather
offering honeyed, empty words and gloating
In useless words and platitudes
those who sought the death of love
crawl out of the dark abyss
vultures now disguised as doves
Venom drips from fingertips
warming glow of hell fire breath
shadowed eyes to cover lies
Vampires none the less
