| Why are you single?
Posted: 9/15/2006 3:53:23 AM | Although twice married I've lived 47 of my 57 years as a single and find these advantages:
No complaints about anything.
No running to meet domestic deadlines/obligations.
No worry about the consequences of important missed dates, eg. birthday, anniversary.
What remains of my property remains MY property.
The doghouse remains the property of the dog.
One's time is one's own to do with as one pleases.
One can spend hours/days/weeks resting and rediscovering life in serene solitude without being called a couch potato or much worse by the insatiable one.
There is so much to be learned about this life and the life hereafter that there really isn't time to waste confined to the repetitiousness of a relationship, particularly if it produces no descendants.
Why am I here, you ask. It cost nothing to drop a lure in the vast sea of fish. There exists a possibility that one wants nothing more from me than I from her, however shallow and to some, less than honourable this may be. | |

Posted: 9/15/2006 7:39:55 PM | I say I am single because I refuse to settle....I want it all and I may be waiting a very long time....I want the sparks along with a few brain cells and a decent motivation about himself not to mention some insight on spirituality with in himself (to be sure he's happy)
of course common interests is nice too and to top it all off he must be in love and lust with ME!
Ask my ex husband why I'm single....he think's I'm an egotistical control freak

Technology, instant gratification, convenience, options out the wazoo in everything we buy. Better, faster, cleaner, newer, smoother, shinier, hotter, colder, quicker, more efficient, etc.
People (as a product) can't keep up with this trend/increasing standard that exists and now most out there have such high standards in everything they purchase/buy/consume that this habit has bled into "people seeking" to the point that the person they are looking for as an 'ideal' does not exist.
I think we have spoiled ourselves into unsatisfiability.
(Remember, there is always something better out there)
Too bad most will never realize this until their day in the sun has passed. | |

7. Klingons around my anus bigger than the federation itself.
8. An 12" long tongue. (yeah you know your thinking about it ladies)
9. Ear hair long enough to match my nose hair.
10. Butt boils that look like a lunar landing crater site.
11. Crusty ball syndrome.
12. A fine collection of green items under my fingernails from my own personal nose factory.

As far as why I am single. I just cant seem to find my Mr. Right.
But I am sure he is around here somewhere.
But until then, being single isnt so bad.
