Although I'm sure some may have found what they were looking for on those type of sites I agree with plenty of fishes philosophy that it just ain't right. Kudos to plenty of fish. You are doing a wonderful selfless thing for all those soul searchers. Love is not something you can buy or sell. unless thats your thing.....thats so wrong........oh well lol

- You pay for credits that are not divisible by the cost per message to use them. You're left with 2 credits you cannot use (4 credits to email someone). So they want you to buy more.
- You can't communicate at all unless you pay.
- All profiles and opening lines need to be approved by a person.
- People do not read your ads whatsoever. You could have in your opening line "READ MY AD!!! LOCAL ONLY" and still receive 20 messages for sex from people outside your country.

I bought the credits, saw them raise the number of credits per message about two weeks after I bought them, but had some conversations with some interesting people and burned the rest of my credits with people who didn't respond. Oh, well.
A friend of mine has had some luck with LavaLife, and is currently dating someone he met from there. Someone else recommended POF, and I'm a huge fan of the forums. | |

Another Canadian site that's good as well. They give you 6 months free membership to join.
But you can go into the chatrooms and chat for free. The membership allows you to message people.

I have an account with Lava, and a few credits left, but rarely check it out anymore. Sometimes I prefer Lava's smiles though. It beats having to respond to a ton of emails, or getting in crap when you don't. But basically, I just stick to this site now. Gotta love the forums! :)
I've also made alot more people I could be friends with here, since you can chat with men or women, so that's a huge plus. Lava is anti-gay, so no cross-sex emails allowed. | |

I also like the concept of these get togethers. I have only been to a few so far but have met many people! By Christmas I will meet many more look forward to it! | |

I wouldn't pay a dime for the craptastic service you don't get from Lavalife. It's just a marketing gimmick, and I have never heard any good stories come from anyone who has used it.
You blacklisted certain countries who were using the site for a scam.
Lavalife just shrugged, because they were paying members.
You actually give a damn about the quality of your site.
Lavalife just wants the money, f*ck it if you don't like it, as long as they get paid.
Here - You can navigate your way through the site on your first day.
There - You need a map and a sherpa guide, just so you don't get lost navigating your way through your own profile.
Basically; Lavalife is friggin' terrible. I'm here every night, and enjoy it.
We really do need a smiley that rolls it's eyes though... | |

well, they really restrict what you can say.
When I was down to 2/3 credits I would get a smile from a woman with no picture. I would send her mail ( which would eat up my credits). I would never hear from her again. Makes me wonder if there is a puter generated program that does it.
Would be easy to to hire people to work in a call centre to answer mail. They could even work from home.
Keep the credits and money flowing. hmmmmm???

BUT theres a small difference , im also a member of another site that has a couple of chatrooms where you can actually mingle,,,also this other site has its own get togethors,ive made many friends from that site,,,this site , though missing the chat rooms, is pretty impressive, the forums are better but its a little harder to meet people...

I've had less luck (I don't mean sex) with the women off POF. Fewer dates further between. There are a million possible explanations but still I get less dates but I have more money...
The freeness of this site is great but I wonder about women getting overwhelmed with messages, It can't be me right  there must be another reason :)
I really like the forums on POF.

(I never spent a dime there - now they sent me free credits to come back) It would be like me going to the bar and buying the guys drinks to pay attention to me - NO WAY. Because everyone is stingy with the credits they don't message often and when they do you 've got 2 seconds to get their attention or they simply log off without saying a thing. Hate it - Love POF.
Plus I met my hottie bf here! | |
