I think the bigger question is, are you completely sure your looks are the reason why you didn't get a chance? I honestly think that sometimes we have a tendency to project our own insecurities on others when in fact it may not play a role at all. | |

ONE of those adjustments might be the AGE of the stud muffin you want.
for instance you might have to take a guy who is 20 or 30 yrs older than you but still looks great. | |

Posted: 10/2/2009 2:26:16 PM | I've seen a few of such couples. He was very good looking, and she was very unattractive. However, personalitywise, he wasn't much. Not very bright, not a good career, no initiative. At the same time she was a decision maker, a money maker and a heart of the family. I guess he just needed someone to tell him how to live a take care of him.
If he had a lot going on for him I doubt that he would marry an unattractive woman. | |

All the girls would swoon around him at parties whether he had a girlfriend at the time or not. I met him when he had broken up with his long-time g/f and started dating him. After two weekends it was over.
I couldn't stand it anymore. He was the simplest man I had ever met. I thought I would go insane. He couldn't even read a newspaper.
The girl who ended up marrying him can't believe her luck. She isn't terribly bright either so all she can see is this handsome man who actually agreed to marry her. | |

I must say that I wish choosing a mate was as simple as picking someone I wouldn't mind waking up to for an undisclosed amount of years. So is it really all about the looks? For the superficial and the "one" hit wonders of the world, the answer is probably yes. I've had my turn in the barrel a number of times when it came to feeling insecure about my looks. Yet I have found that when I take care of myself in the very best ways I know how, I attract or reap positivity from others. I wouldn't hang my hat on looks alone. A potential mate has to have a lot more to offer. | |

Nothing turns me off than an over-made up woman with fake boobs with an unhealthy dark tan with platinum blonde hair that is overly crispy. It's like barbie on steroids. | |
