Posted: 8/13/2005 5:19:28 PM | | WOW...I like this particular forum, because i feel it very much applies to me...Now don't think I am depressed or suffer from low self esteem....but I don't consider myself to be pretty. That's not to say I think I am ugly, I am just average, I guess.(check my pic, you will agree) I have been this way all my life,and for the longest time mourned over my looks. Well at 32 with a divorce under my belt, I am finally comfortable with ME. Not a supermodel, it even states that in my profile...but I am intelligent, funny, kind,and lots of fun! I don't have any luck in the men dept, but I have given up the assinine thought that I have to pair up with someone to be happy! I have a full life, friends, my kids,school ,work...tons of stuff to keep me busy. I may get a little lonely, but its not the end of the world.We are all made different-it's a good thing! The world would be pretty boring if we all looked the same. And I think each woman's idea of studmuffin is different. Myself, I prefer the younger skinnier geek type....brains rule! All a man will want in that situation is that blow job. If the rest of her is so unattractive, that a man can't even get next to her otherwise, all he will do is close his eyes, don't look, kick back, and enjoy the blow job.
She does not really have the man, if he cheats. Even if he does not "leave," he is just using her for that convenient suck, when he even wants it.
Eventually, he will get tired of her, if he is not really into her, blow job and all. If a blow job was all it takes for a lady to keep a man, there would be no such thing as divorce.
If ugly women will settle for a small amount of attention from a man they could not get otherwise, your advice is very good.

While it's not fair to expect a lady to look like a supermodel, she should not weigh 400 pounds either.
There is a happy medium.
"Average" women can still rock that lil skirt and stilettos. It's a very feminine thing to do. It's not asking too much. Hair, nails, clothes, and just keeping away from obesity, can make almost any woman turn a man's head, even if she is not a supermodel. A certain amount of excietment is needed to light that spark. You don't have to be a supermodel to light that spark, just make a little effort.
If a man gets with you, do you want other women turning his head? Or do you want him to be able to get all his "eye candy" from you?
Men are very visual. Even if you're not a supermodel, you can make the effort to get a man's attention. Once you have his attention, then he can find out about the rest of you, your other qualities, other than you looks.
It may not be fair. But looks do count to some extent.

How else can she hang on to him? Nagging too? They could also be married. He may just not want to deal with an expensive divorce. You have to know the whole situation, to really know what's going on. Without totally getting into the business of strangers, you'll never really know. He'll probably wind up with a better woman, even if it takes a while.

Even if you need to look real conservative for your job. You can have another look, when you are on your time.
Rock that lil skirt and stilettos. Get your hair and nails done.
A baseball cap and bluejeans are cool on a lady, but not all the time, like that's her uniform!
If you don't rock that lil skirt and heels, a man's eyes will wander when another woman provides the eye candy.
Most importantly, avoid the obesity epidemic. Not being able to show your legs due to obesity, is beyond being a Plain Jane. Maybe that would be an Obese Charise? LOL!
Go into any office, and you will find obese women looking at Chipendale dancers on their computers. Hopefully this motivates them to lose some weight, and be more attractive to men. But usually the expecations remain unrealistic.
If the weight issue is not there, and it's just a matter of Jane being "Plain," no worries. Just make an effort. Hair, nails, clothes. Rock that lil skirt and heels. See what happens.

Posted: 8/14/2005 11:13:55 AM | Let's be honest. Looks mean a LOT more than most care to admit. I can talk for hours to most girls. They absolutely delight in the conversation and can't wait to see me (I know how concieted that sounds) and when they do.... the look of disappointment on their faces really brings me back to reality. I'm the nicest, most sincere person you would ever want to meet but that doesn't mean a thing. I don't ask out attractive girls because it's pointless. The girls I do ask out would probably be described as below average physically. Not because I'm settling.... but because they tend to be more modest and approachable (not to mention a lot kinder in their rejections).
I'm just a little sick of girls talking about 'inner beauty' when for the most part, they're much more interested in 'outer beauty'. At least, that has been my experience.
And..... I agree with everything he ^^^ said as well. An absolute double-standard. Trez hypocritical. | |

I can also say that females I've known as friends got better looking to me as I got to know theie personalities more. My wife was my friend first. Didn't even think to ask her out for months and that was after I discovered so many things I like about her. | |
