Posted: 8/15/2005 6:42:11 AM | There is a difference between ugly & overweight. First of all...if weight is the issue, do you really want someone who is that shallow. I had put on a little extra weight & my ex loved it. Made me even more curvy. But big women can still be beautiful. (not that I am big but...I got mostly hardbodies when I had the extra weight)
Many guys tell me that they prefer the girl next door type. Not the supermodel. But maybe that's b/c they feel that they wouldn't be able to hold on to her. I can't really speak from experience b/c I believe myself to be rather attractive but...in my younger years when I didn't have as much depth to me...I remember walking around seeing couples & asking "How did SHE get him??" So it does happen.

Personally I dated a woman 5’7’’ close to 200 pounds but she was great.
Great personality, good dancer. I grabbed that fat and had a great time.
I never called her fat. I appreciated both sides of her, inside and out. | |

I do notice people with a little extra are so sweet.
Each person seems to have a natural weight that is right for them. In my perhaps limited experience it seems that if people stay close to their natural weight they tend to have quite normal personalities. I have noticed, though, that women who are much over their natural weight tend towards being depressed and sometimes bad tempered, whereas women much under their natural weight often tend towards being neurotic. I always choose women, then, who carry their weight well (no matter what size they are). | |

You want to see a picture of our face. You know, all the features we really CAN'T do anything about, yet yous are gonna knock people for not seeing another person's "Insides".
Hey guys, imagine EVERY ONE of us men deleted our pictures from our profiles! I'd bet this place would no longer be considered a dating site, cause you know ain't none of these woman gonna go out with a man sight unseen!..I'm usually a nice guy. Can e-mail with the best of them and talk on the phone as well. But when I'm shot down by one woman after the next from this site, I begin to think I may be better off hangin out in the bars!
Perfect example of one person's junk being another's treasure. I have only two scores in my RATE MY PIC. 1 is a 10, the other is a 1. Go figure! | |

But for me... a great looking guy with his shirt half off is just as likely not to get a response from me as a not so great looking guy or a guy with no pic on his profil -> all depends on what he has to say.
but that's not really what this thread is about. its about does a girl without looks have a chance with the model boy? the answer is absolutely, provided the model boy is someone of substance & not just another pretty face or bod.

Then all of the sudden i find out he's using drugs and when confronted he shot me in the back leaving me totally paralyzed. I will never walk again. If i didn't start the relationship because of his looks i'd probably be walking today. I should of got to know the real him inside instead of what he looked like. I guess what i'm trying to say is that the ugliest person on the outside is most likely the most beautiful on the inside. | |

Ok I once have picked studmuffin as my nickname on PoF so I will try to help out. :)
Let's stop hitting around the bush. There is standard on appearance. However, if a girl know how to make up and keep fit. It makes a HUGH difference. One of my female friend is a makeup and hair stylist for wedding people. She showed me some of her clients before/after photos. I was like WOW. It is like day and night!! Some no-so attractive women suddenly became different people! I am not kidding. With glamour shots, it is even more gorgerous.
Also if you are chubby, men would think you are lazy and don't care about your outlook. Many men and women work damn hard for their body and expect the same for their partner. I once get a msg from a women saying something like:"I want my greek god. I work damn hard for my body and I want my rewards!" So go figure. ;)
So if you are determined, you CAN be beautiful. However, I also like to point out something. Is that you should live for youself! not for others. Learn to love youself for who you are. You are a child of God. The purpose of seeking a campanion is to make your happy, if you can't find happiness in it, don't bother. Don't force youself to be cute if you don't want to. I find girls with positive attitude extremely hot, the attitude like Avril Lavigne! She is such a hottie! | |
