I was with my partner 13 years older for 10 years but the age gap lessened as we matured. It all depends on the individual. SOme men never grow up and some women mature early. | |

Young guys my age still want to party be with their buddies all the time, they want to date but it's not the kind of dating i'm looking for, sure they are intelligent, but it doesn't really start coming through until their later years when they settle down a bit. There is something to say about a man with a little grey hair. He is distinguished, handsome, intelligent, still wants to have a good time, and is a better lover. The only negative thing I can say about the ones i've come across is that they are stuck in their ways and their annoying habits are hard if not impossible to change.  | |

I personally don't have a preference for older or younger, I used to like younger, but if I happen to become attracted to an older man, then I like an older man! I feel like women who date older men have daddy issues and guys who date younger women are trying to prove something [or just want an immature person they can control].
Whenever I think about women who marry older men, I always picture the poor woman being flung back into the dating pool in her early 50's because that "attractive, older man" she fell for is now deceased. As tough as dating is in your 30's, I bet it's WAY harder to find someone when you're a 50 year old woman . . . because guys your age want younger women, and can often get them! | |

I love that guy....
And it's true. It's hard enough to meet someone as it is, and I see it as just excuse #8143 why you don't want to open up to someone you click with. The operative term here, is click. I need someone I can enjoy a conversation with, or some music and good food and sunshine with. That's my only rule at this point.
So if you 40-something women want a man your age, turn off the damn computer, put down a tin of food for the cats, hide the romance novels and get out there and be somebody!
