I have been waxing and shaving for the past 10 years, I have never once had the plucked turkey look lol that makes me laugh... I don't have stubble, I don't get razor burn, and quite frankly I think it's nicer without any hair... Yes by my age, that means since mine existed lol... I'm a natural blonde so, even if I had any I don't think it would be gross looking or alot based on the years of hair removal ... But I don't see why it matters... I think if a person does it they should do it for themself. Not for anyone else if you ask me... It is a hassle, but hey I like the hair on my head and no where else, why stop at shaving your legs lol I am so lucky though I don't have underarm hair (genetic thing) hahaha If I did I'd probably pluck it lol to make it go away

i love staying smooth but i stick to shaving now because i have had a horrible experience like yours!
not only was it incredibly painful! (more painful than i thought, cuz i have a high pain tolerance) but when she was done there were chunks of wax still stuck to many hairs she missed and it looked pretty bad!!! she was like 'just soak the rest of the wax in oil and it will slide off!' ya right!! it took a while to painfully remove the rest of the wax!! and then i just shaved the rest of the hair! definitely not worth it!!! lol i'll just stick to shaving for now!!! lol but maybe laser hair removal??? hmm anyone have laser hair removal done down there???

It called for taking a metal hair comb and placing it against the skin in the pubic region. Any hair passing through the teeth of the comb was burned off with the flame from a candle or lighter.

lmao, that's just an accident waiting to happen!

I agree with the hair on women. I used to shave and it was just another thing to keep up with. Then, I met a real man who said to me " Will you grow this out for me?" I moaned out loud it made me so hot. He loves everything real and grown-up.
Remember how the women and men looked in the now classic porn movies? Body hair, real tits and big****. Those were the days. Atleast in my bedroom, we still live that wonderful time. Nothing is fake, especially not the orgasms.

I prefer the bush myself. What good is a kitty if it has no hair. I can put up with the odd tickle in the throat. Go green-let the forest grow!

Hi!

I am therapist who specialises in Waxing.

I am going to tell you to never go back to that therapist as........
telling you to shave after is wrong, wrong wrong!!!!! as this will give you ingrowing hairs, due to the skin being sensitive after.

ok here is the low down....
If you tend to be a little sensitive don'tgo get waxing a week before your menstruation as the body is more susesptable to pain!
also ladies/guys a pain killer and hour just before the wax also helps to relax the nerve endings.
If this is your first wax????? you are going to be curious and more anxious, so your nerve endings aregoing to be a ittle on edge.

The therapist should be qualified and have experience (ask around if people know of a good therapist who is good at waxing. You tend to hear news like that either way!)

1) You must not go for a sunbathing/hot treatments(sauna/ steam , hot bath showeretc) 24- 48 hrs prior or after waxing as it will cause your skin to be hypersensitive. I'm sure everyone has run a hot bath and put their hand in it and pulled out quickly, right? now tell me you would put your hand straight back in without at least allowing it to cool down with either cold water added or time to allow to cool down? well.... same applies here!

2) You can trim the area b4, to around 1/2 inch .

3) Pain should be minimul, if the therapist is experienced as they will stretch the skn correctly, place you in certain positions to make the skin taute.

this one a major!!!!!! As ingrowing hairs , breakage as well as major pain will occur!!! this is where the few days later hair growing back may appear too.

4) The hair has to be pulled out at a 45 degree angle and very quickly.

5) If some of the hairs didn't come out, the therapist must not reapply another layer of wax on the same area. This will cause PAIN! but also cause your skin to burn.

6) the therapist could either use a set of steralised tweezers to remove the odd stubborn hair. NOT A RAZOR!!!!!

7) The therapist should talk to you so to relax you and take your mind of the deep concentration period.

HERE IS A GREAT TIP THAT WORKS WITH MY CLIENTS....
8) when the therapist is going to pull the strip off, askher to let you know,so that you can breath out. Yes, I said breath out. This is like labour in a way..... When you hold yourself stiff as well as your breath, the pain receptors will be more reactive to pain!

9) Make sure the therapist uses a good after wax lotion, after the treatment.

ps. do not use perfume, soap or anything 24 hrs after, as this can cause bumps.

oh by the way there is many different types of waxing,

strip wax(no guys don't get too excited!) This is where the use a strip of material to remove the wax. Then there is one where when applied it goes on runny and then sets, and this is then used in the same manner as the wax strip to remove the hairs.

By the way....the hair grows in three different cycles, so the first time you wax, there maybe hair under the skin not yet grown through, that may appear upto a week later. A good therapist will inform you that tweezing these few hairs will be the best method, but also regular waxing will get all the hairs growing in a sequence, and grow back at the same time, so longer peroids between waxing. Also less hair grows back as the area where the hair grows out of may be shocked, and not grow back.

Reference to Laser......
laser is permenant, as long as you don't have a hormonal problem that caused the hair growth in the first place.
and Laser is not good for all skin colours. When doing laser the therapist uses a special equipment that cools the area down prior to each zap from the machine, so let pain is felt. (can feel like a small elastic band snapping against your skin!
You cannot interfere with the hair growth between treatments except shave as this will alter the growth pattern.

I will take it either way, but to tell the truth I am plum tired of shaved pussies. It should be trimmed to keep it from growing up to your belly or down your legs, but otherwise I think a nice thick black triangle is far sexier than a shaved snatch. And for whatever reason, I always ejaculate faster and harder in an unshaved ****.

i'm so sorry you had a bad exerience........i was very lucky with my first waxing, and to think i do others for a living.....but me, it took a while to get the nerve up......lol.........only thing i can tell you is, like getting your haircut, some are great at it, and some aren't...same goes for waxing.........message me and i'll give you the name of the place i do.......it was wonderful. didn't even feel like i had anything done about 10 min after.........i tell everyone to go there, and remember, i do waxing for a living......so that tells you someone about her........

Ok, let me just say no, not everyone here loves a shaved woman. Trimmed and neat yes (I really don't want to use a machete to work my way through a dense jungle) but completely shaved? Not my cup o' tea.

But I had to laugh as your experience. But I guess you were curious and took the leap of faith to try it out. Kudos on you for that.

I guess thats all I really had to say...

TTFN!

haha, i have the same problem. it happens everytime i get a close shave so i chose an alternative.

i purchased an electric body shaver and dont shave all the way down. just keep it all like 1/4" or less and use it more often, but use settings that dont take it all the way down to skin level. the other alternative is what you described as the "plocked turkey" look.

I get my body waxed, brows, pits, kitty, legs regularly. It lasts longer, I like the smoothness, and it's convenient and less mess (no nicks, razor burn). The more waxing is done the less hair that grows back.

lol. I've shaved, epilated, waxed, and had laser hair removal. It all seems to get easier over time. Except epilating. Christ on a cracker, I don't think you ever get used to that.

laser is permenant, as long as you don't have a hormonal problem that caused the hair growth in the first place.
No it's not. Those who have good luck with it still usually need to get electrolysis on stray hairs, and then get another laser session or two every year or so to keep reduction. They always neglect to tell you that. American Laser has $6,000 of my money while I'm still shaving, waxing, and epilating to prove that ;)

Made an appointment & cancelled, still curious but I just can't. It's the overly & frequent exposure factor, hard enough getting a yearly Pap! I'll stick to shaving...

Has anyone ever asked their guy for a fair trade? Maybe get a 2 for 1 discount!
Doesn't it just seem overly "pedophilic" to have a pre-teen sexual body part???

Conflicted 7/21/2006 Having your partner shave you can be totally erotic. Lying back while they cover you in foam, shave you clean...and hopefully finish the job with the "tongue test" (just to make sure it's totally smooth you understand!)

Use the right foam or gel and it gives a great TINGLING feeling!

funny you mention this, I was at a strip club for the first time today and chatted with one of the strippers and she said she never waxes, only shaves. But the secret it to use a different razor when shaving down there. It doesn't cause ingrown hairs if you do that. And waxing is a waste of effort because it just doesn't look decent, and hair grows back so soon it's like not even worth the pain! i prefer to shave. :)

Personally, I use something like Nair maybe once a month with shaving "touch ups" in between. The Nair makes everything baby smooth (be careful not to leave it on too long or leave it on your most sensitive areas - it can burn!)

If I'm involved with someone I'll Nair more often but the deal is, when the hair starts growing back it's softer than when you shave. Shaving causes stubble which causes me to itch and causes my guy to get razor burn!
