A lot. (Naturally curly hair).
So where can I buy this Hempz stuff? Do they have it at Shoppers? I used to buy that Bikini zone shite but it stings like bloody hell and doesn't do a dang thing..
And I do use the Neet, Nair and Veet stuff sometimes, I find it makes things a lot smoother than shaving (can never seem to get that little curve above the clit completely smooth from shaving) and lasts longer, plus you can put it up the backside to get that full Brazillian (or French, whatever you wanna call it) effect. But it STINKS!! I hate having it all over my hands, when I wash it off my skin feels weird after having the chemicals on it. Sensitive. Plus I hate having to sit there on the can (coz that's the only place I can sit without getting it all over) for 15-20 mins or however long waiting for it to work.
So what's a girl to do?  The things we do for men... ugh...

ck- Lucky you on the light and sparse body hair! :-p Yeah, ingrowns are the worst. That's the major reason I'm getting laser treatments. It's not because I want to look like a 9-year-old girl, as some are saying. (Though I do think being smooth enhances sex.) It's mainly because I get terrible ingrowns with shaving. That, and the regrowth is pretty prickily. 
I used to use stuff like Neet and Nair, but my skin is too sensitive and I'd get chemical burns, especially if I tried to put it in the areas one would get at with a Brazilian. Ouch! Not to mention the off-putting smell. And I also hated that weird feeling on my hands after washing it off. So, I feel your pain, lol. I did find that Magic Shave for Sensitive Skin was a little better than the traditional depilatories. It's meant to be used as an alternative to shaving for black men who tend to get razor bumps, but a lot of women have discovered it works great on the bikini area. You can find it in the black hair care section in stores like Target. | |

Persistance is the name of the game in waxing... like I said in my previous post, if you can get past the first one, you're home free! First strip hurts the worst, and the first wax hurts the worst. Now it barely hurts and I always get turned on when I'm finished. | |

I said to him that I was quite shocked that he didn't "TIDY" up...he explained that he hadn't been with someone in awhile...ugh I thought...wouldn't you just have it nice for you? DON'T WAX! SUGAR!
Waxing hurts soooo much because it also removes the fine first layer of the epidermis, hence the immense pain and bruising as it tugs at the skin during the "rip"! Sugar just removes hair, no skin!
Furthermore, no caffeine (no pop, coffee or tea) before the appointment, it just heightens the nerves/senses, hence accentuating the pain. (I've heard taking an two Advil beforehand dulls the pain.)
The plucked turkey look happens only around the lips... it's gone by the next day.
Up here in Canada, my esthetician told me it's called...
Brazilian = just leave the lips alone, everything else can go.
LA = lips & a$$ (completely bald)
BA = balls & a$$ (the guy is going bald all the way!)
And if you try the sugaring technique and still can't take the pain, it rinses off easily in a warm shower.

It hurts, but well worth it. It takes about 6-8 treatments, more expensive, no ingrown hairs, and you do have to like the person giving you the treatment, very upfront, close and personal. But the result is nice! Check it out. | |

Not every waxer should be waxing some actually hate doing them{those are the satan waxers} My waxer is the best 10 mins and she keeps me talking sometimes she even gets a laugh from me.My hair grows in so fine now its great also if you time it right you can be your furryest during your period, as for ingrown hairs BIKINI ZONE IS GREAT even if you shave this stuff is a miricle no ingrown hairs and it kinda gives you a tingly numbing sensation. | |

^^ Yeah... after about 10 visits at approx. $150.00 a visit ...and oh yeah... don't forget the numbing cream...that's about $32.00 a tube...last maybe a few times. It's not cheap, and it'd be wise to research if the salon has a reputation for using the proper strength of the laser, because if they use less... you'll be coming back more often, and they'll make more money. The first time they go fairly easy...just to see how you and your skin will react, if it's all good, you're back in 4 weeks for your next treatment, where they turn up the laser...and then every 4-6 weeks after. In between there is to be no waxing...shaving only as the hair has to grow to the top of the skin so that the laser can go through the hair to the root. It's a lot of bullsh*t and inconvenience for a bit of hair down there... geesh!! | |
