I wish everyone would all just tell the truth and leave it at that, but even if they do tell us the truth are we strong enough to accept the truth without becoming small minded and rude. Case in point a nice lady wrote me a note one day and said she did not know where my city was(there is only a zillion internet sites you can look up cities). I located her city and she was over 10 hours away out in the middle of nowhere. I wrote her a nice email thanking her for the interest but told her I did not see any chance for a serious relationship so far away. She peppered me with very ugly emails for my trouble. I felt her pain so I did not send her any nasty replies back. So give the women a break, telling a person no is hard to do even on the internet. | |

Posted: 2/19/2006 8:28:19 AM | ^^^ Hate to say it, but a dog can be a deal breaker under certain circumstances. I really do not like certain types of dogs. That having been said, it wouldn't get to the stage of having the potential to be shot down, because for me, a picture of the wrong type of dog in the profile = go to the next profile. Same with "love my pit bull" or something similar in the text.

Yeah, I thought about that, but the reply came only a few hours after I contacted her. And she had to get on a computer to send the message.
These days, it's hard to spit without hitting a business (cafe, hotel, etc.) that offers free internet access. I can do it at my library if I wanted. But I guess the point is the irony; she's posted a profile on the site to get replies but says she doesn't have access to a computer.
I took it as an indirect and maybe kind way of saying "I'm not interested," but it was a really transparent way, too. | |

I know one girl, she met the guy, they had dinner and he went to the washroom, actually took off, and left her with a $95 dinner bill. Seems he had the steak lol. Now what he didn't know, was she was a cop and HE ALREADY AGREED DINNER WAS ON HIM. So 2 hours later the cops picked him up on theft/shoplifting charges.
She had the proof to nail him on that lol, geez wish more women were cops lol | |
