Posted: 6/2/2005 8:57:57 PM | My top 2 that I personally wear and have received compliments on are Acqua Di Gio and Envy. Envy is tough to find, as Gucci discontinued it.... but once in awhile, you can still find it at those cologne and perfume kiosks they have at the mall. Macy's, Lord & Taylor... they stopped carrying it. But... if you look hard enough...
My back up is Givenchy Red. If I don't like the girl and want to make it a short date, I use Tag body spray. I don't believe the hype. I think it stinks, and I bet my movie money it'll make the girl I go out with want to consider her option of staying home and doing laundry as opposed to riding around town with me making fun of old people trying to cross the street.
For women, I find Very Sexy a very attractive scent. Most body lotions from Victoria Secret can drive me insane, too. I love scents.... and yes, someone telling you, "You smell great!" is the highest compliment you can be paid without sounding too creepy. | |

Posted: 6/4/2005 8:40:23 AM | lol! I have no idea if it was perfume or if she had been baking earlier, but OMG she smelled so good! The scent was freshly baked muffins (or cookie dough?) and that freshness perfume smell.
I was sitting beside her on the bus with a big smile on my face because she smelled so good. :) | |

i like to wear ralph lauren "romance" but only in the winter time because otherwise the scent is too strong...in the summer i think scents like that are overwhelming...
on a guy...romance is good...the one this guy i know wheres is mmmm...but i dont know which scent it is...
i think pink is very fresh..smells like ya just got out of the shower...good stuff | |

I like Yves Saint Laurent's "Paris" or Jean Paul Gaultier's "Fragile" when I'm in more feminine clothes... in a pants suit... I like Calvin Klein's "Romance pour Homme"...

Posted: 6/8/2005 7:32:19 AM | Romance is good! I have a bottle of that somewhere.... but EMTJess makes a good point. Some fragrances are seasonal. I wasn't aware Romance was one of them. Hmmm, does that stand to reason for guys, too? Romance was my everyday cologne... Envy and Acqua Di were my weekend colognes. Givency Red is the backup for the "I didn't feel like taking a shower this morning and need to run some errands this morning" cologne. Didn't realize that colognes were seasonal. Interesting.
Did someone say "White Diamonds?" Ladies, please... take it from a guy with an extrememly sensitive and scent defying nose... throw that stuff away! If they sell it at K-Mart or Target, it's not good quality stuff! White Diamonds is advertised by Liz Taylor... LIZ TAYLOR! Need I say more? She needs a walker and tow straps just to get into the recliner she sits on in the commercial. She's 120 years old for God's sake.... they should be peddling that stuff in nursing homes or in flyers included with AARP newsletters!
I'm not big on musk. Clean, fresh, soft... that's the stuff that makes a man go home and tear up his pillow with his teeth out of frustration. (Victoria Secret is great for that. I have the damaged pillows to prove it!) Musks just make me want to go to church or visit my Aunt Edna and ask her how her gall bladder operation went. Prolonged exposure to musk makes me want to curl up in a ball, cry and beg for mercy from the pain.

purfume (Dior) +mouthwash and also certain tanning oils have a very potent effect on me as well like hawiian tropic royal blend. I personally wear Versace Blue Jeans or OSCAR...With some AXE deoderant and body spray..Let's not forget about that AXE effect. | |

Posted: 10/1/2005 4:35:12 PM | i just want to say that i wear one perfume in particular and when i do i get a ton of comments/compliments...(real head turners)........ it's called RED DOOR by Eliziabeth Arden......you'll have to try (smell) it to appreciate it..........its well known and carried in most department stores....It's a real winner
