Seriously, I hear what your saying and I don't understand it either? I'm at a loss to explain this mystery.

Lidrec, with all due respect, you have in your profile age 50 for the top limit of age of women that you would like to meet, so what's up with that?
And what's wrong with women over 50?

Age is a numerical number no more no less!!! If you let a numerical figure cloud your brain then you are truly either “Old” or “In mature”. The average North American relationship last a mere seven years, let the coupling begin, worry about numbers when your dead an in a box.

Fact of the matter is that obviously we are the same person that we were at 21, but we have so many more life experiences under our belts, which is a really good thing. ("Practice makes perfect")
Unfortunately, we live in a society where age literally gets no respect, and the young rule. In many other cultures it is quite the opposite where the aged are treated with utmost respect and valued in the community.

Age has nothing to do with experenice, When I was 18 I was sleeping with 30 yr olds. I'm not kid and still sleep with both young and old. 27-49. It's what the person REALLY enjoys.

Give me the chance with a mature woman any day. The know what they want, they are more tolerant of other things, and in general are more relaxed about life.

Age is what gave them the ability to be those things.

And jaytea, at least in this bit of Europe, older people are valued. We don't lock them away in the Twilight Maximum Security Retirement Home. We take them down the pub. I'm talking about people in their eighties and over, not our age :)

No matter how old you are, breathing is of the utmost import....hence, if you are still breathing, you are still alive...and sexy...and sensual...and deserving of love, respect and chocolate (oh, that's for me - hands off me chocolate now....), you know...life

I do feel we live at in best of times now...took this long for the human race to realize age is just a number....trees get old, we don't...I am eternal....hehe

Age is a numerical number no more no less!!!

If this is true, is it ok for a 45 yr old woman to be dating a 24 yr old guy...and just where can you go without looking like mother and son?

Actually, we aren't "dating"...just havin some fun

And as far as age is concerned, we're all "immortal for a limited time", just do what feels right. Within reason, of course.

I see you ladies like to see a man squrim okay . 50 as I approch see, was just a number that seemed to work. My b*tch was that younger ladies dont know that we older men are still virile and youthful...........

I see older men with younger women, sometimes much younger women, all the time. The reverse is not quite so common.

I rather resent the fact that most men in my age bracket say they are looking for a younger woman. What's wrong with a woman around their own age? On the other hand, maybe they're still immature, even in their 60's, and if that's the case - let them search for someone younger. Most likely they will be disappointed since younger women of substance are well aware of what they want - and don't want.

I would love to find someone close to my own age.....but in no worse shape than I am as I still like to do things....

Then, when 20 somethings hit on me, I get an ego boost and think...hmm....but reality sets in and I turn them down cuz I am looking for more than quickies....I want love...I want a relationship of depth...caring, devotion....

Lidrec,
Maybe you should open up your mind to the idea that an older woman can be most fascinating! And you might be pleasantly surprised at what you might learn!
Just because someone lists an age range in their profile does not mean that they are totally closed to meeting someone who is not in that age range. At least that is the way that I feel about it. If someone contacted me who I found most attractive or if I found their profile extremely interesting and they aren't in my stated specific age range I certainly wouldn't rule them out.
