Posted: 8/10/2007 8:43:21 AM | If anyone is looking for a great party where there will be lots of single women and men check out the details below for this weekend.
Would like to take this time to say hello to everyone and invite you all to a huge meet and greet that I host once a month. This is a no pressure Adult party where we all can meet singles like ourselves. I am a caterer by trade so there will be lots of great food Menu will be posted below. I have been hosted these parties for about 5 months and they have all been a great success. We average about 150-200ppl per party. Here's all the details.
DaTe: August 11th. Saturday
Where: Darbah 29 Canal St. Millbury MA. This place has a huge deck with tables and chairs and there is a pretty nice size dance floor plus you can play pool. Casual Atmosphere.
Time: Pre Party starts at 6pm Lots of food and mingling from 6-8. DJ will be there around 8pm. Maine party starts at 8:30. The DJ is awesome plays great music and after eating all that food you can burn it off on the dance floor.
Sleeping accomodations: For those staying over we have a 25 room block at the Econo Lodge in Sutton. Less than 2 miles from the bar.Room Rate is $70 We are New England Greeters when calling for REservation to get discount
Also Hotel Manager is letting us use a room located near the front desk for the after party so all are welcomed to that as well. byobb for the after party!!!
WE will have a shuttle car to pick up and drop off folks from hotel to bar. Tips for the driver would be appreciated. This way for those that drink you dont have to worry about driving.
Price: $15 per person $25 per couple.
Rooms are open to be booked now so book ASAP we have a 25 room block dont wait till the last minute. For those wanting a room with a Jacuzzi I was told they are going for $150

Terriyaki Garlic chicken wings. sweet and tangy
Lasanga. Packed with ground beef sasuage and cheese.
Rice Pilaf
Mac and Cheese
Garlic Bread
Corn Muffins
Thinking Peach cobbler for dessert still undecided but there will be a dessert.
Cold Salad thinking cole slaw Potato or macaroni still undecided.
HOpe all that attend will love the food and I'm sure as usual it will be an awesome time.
Reminder Please book those rooms early for those staying over.

I joined a singles group listed on www.meetup.com for western mass recently and have enjoyed several outings so far and met a lot of people. There are many groups in many areas and different interests. The site is easy to use too.

I didn't see my earlier post, so I will say it again.
www.meetup.com has many singles groups formed for many areas. I am in two in my area and have had a lot of fun dancing, taking walks, seeing art shows etc. I haven't connected with anyone there yet, but I have gained some great friends who I feel I can ask dating questions.
The other world wide opportunity is through the virtual 3 D world of www.secondlife.com Which provides some gorgeous experiences for romance or relaxation. I have had a great time dancing while watching my avatar dance and chatting through a headset with my friend half way across the US. I would rather be out with friends at an event that isn't focused on drinking, but in their absence I got some exercise and a fun time. Keep in mind, not everywhere there is family friendly. But there is plenty of fun for everyone including classes, lectures, art shows, and lots of fashion. I got involved for the Spiritual events. I help out Zemira at Spirit Mountain where we do healing on visitors once a month. And if your new to 2nd life and you want help, write me, and I will connect you to people who can help.
All in all, I would rather be in real life, with a real life dancing babe.

Posted: 1/4/2009 8:58:52 AM | Hi, there is a place on RTE 1 (tavern on the Hill) they have a singles night every Friday and Saturday nite its a $7 cover charge. I have never been in there but the place is packed every weekend. Its right next to a bar which has kareoke on Fridays which is how I noticed it..

Was not sure what to expect when I put the word out, and everyone has been real supportive. I am working on putting together events for singles that are more than just meetings around a bar. I hope you let me know if you want more info, or can share some input as to what everyone wants in an event. (I am an aspiring event coordinator, and single!) Thanks! | |

But I know if we had a better place to hold it the event would have brought in a bigger crowd. Charging folks isn't a great idea either so I think we should do something about that too. I am working on a gig with a friend of mine who is a DJ and is willing to a CHARGE FREE for us. Now I am trying to find a place that won't charge admission. I don't feel we should have to pay to go out since we have to pay for drinks and food. The food was supposed to be free sandwiches at this other dance and no sandwiches were provided yet we were still charged. This will NOT happen when I get my dance arranged. I will keep you all posted as it will be in the future warm weather. | |
