Ok...I'd agree with this.
I know in Canadas food guide and in many "healthy eating" pamphlets and textbooks, that citrus foods are listed as preventing scurvy. I can't see how anyone would be thinking the FDA is "covering up" this well known fact.
BUT....how many milligrams of vitamin C does it take on a daily dosage to do this? How much citrus fruit would you need to eat? What if you have an allergy to these fruits? Or can't eat them for other reasons? (financial, or health or simply don't like the taste?)
This is why "natural" healing is so touchy. If the FDA up and says "eat several of these leaves to relieve pain each day...all natural, etc, etc," and someone has an allergic reaction to it, or bad side effects...who gets sued? What if it is addictive? Can a steady supply be insured for the general public?
Almost all "natural" healing products can be synthesized chemically. Making them more effective, and more pure. Less side effects. A common garden flower (foxglove) can help with heart aliments by eating the seeds. Also known as "digitalis". It can also be used as a poison. All natural! Easy to grow. But....again...how much of it is good for THAT individual? Should they even be taking it? What side effects? What else is in those "seeds" that could adversly affect a patient.
So...I'd have to say the FDA isn't "covering up" anything...just protecting the fools from themselves.

Had? Hardly there are documented facts about what the FDA has been doing for many years. In fact as we speak right now some of the major name brand food processing companies are about to go to trial over this.

Lemons can cure survive that's a known documented fact. The FDA doesn't want you to think so even know it is 100% true. So if I have been had then why are they trying to cover up even the most known natural cure???????

I was told that I'd have to take 2 nexium for the rest of my life for GERD. I found out about DGL licorice, and have been using that, and have been able to cut way down on the nexium.

A lady friend of mine many years ago was diagnosed with cervical cancer and was told that she had to have surgery and start chemo and radiation right away or die. But she had not had any kids and she went looking for alternatives. She went to some obscure clinic for alternative therapies, up in the mountains somewhere, New Mexico, I don't remember.
Anyway....she was gone for six months or so, and when she was retested here in LA the doctors were shocked...her cancer had disappeared.
She went on to marry a famous football player and they had a few kids.
Well, and she was a hot model at the time, so she had the money to be able to afford the alternative therapy.
To me it sounded awfully risky, but in her case it obviously worked out nicely.

Point is, the medical establishment and the pharmaceutical industries are not always interested in doing what's best, but often do what makes the most money. You don't have to believe in conspiracies to understand this fact.
