As a matter of course, I do my own cooking, cleaning, laundry, caretaking, and CLEANING OF TOILETS. Yes I too have changed my childrens diapers, cleaned up the vomit, and bandaged skinned knees, and I am still 100% man, and then some."
And I've done all that and held down a career and even to this day mow and weedeat my own yard, run the tiller and planted my own (five so far) perennial gardens, planted trees and shrubs, lifted several 50-pound bags of stained over a thousand feet of fence, fixed that same fence several times, repaired broken washing machines and dryers, repaired lawnmowers...with NO HELP FROM ANYONE, let alone a man...want me to go on?

Well, excuse my being flippant, I'm not sure what has happened since the 60's qualifies as evolution. Men have always been the hunter, gathers, & protectors. Women the child bearers, & homemakers."
No, men were the hunters, gatherers and protectors back in the days when hunting gathering and protecting were necessary. We've come a long way, baby. Or haven't you heard?

No, fortunately it is no longer the "natural order" of things (sheesh) and it not only has changed, but changed a long, long time ago and is making strides even today.

Oh, yes it most certainly is.

I think it's extreme...no, it's ABSURD ...to think a woman's role is to sit at home playing mommy and suzy homemaker when she has the intellectual capabilities that match and in many, many cases, surpass that of any man.

Emasculated? Sounds like an issue of personal perspective to me. Most men I know are not threatened by successful women. Who you are and how you're supposed to act is treating women with respect and recognizing the fact that they're every bit as intelligent and capable beings as men will ever be. A woman should do what she WANTS to do, not what you think she should be doing.

Posted: 8/21/2005 8:32:43 PM | true..true..I think we're all jaded from time to time. All hate does for anyone in any gender is kill ya slowly either way. Here are some possible results I would guess would happen:all could vary to certain degrees with certain people from subtle to extreme
*Elevate blood pressure, stress levels, adrenal fatigue, hormone imbalance, cortisol changes, dhea loss, which is related to sex drive. (in men..don't know about women) and the alone is another whole chain of events creating other crap..etc etc
*what else..dental work , that's expensive. You'd be grinding your teeth intension all the trying to keeping your mouth shut while in company of the subject, or just being around whatever you despice...and get good at 4 letter words..and your mouth may get smaller and sunken in from tension and muscle contraction
*and puts your liver at work with release of release of certain chemiclas that all go with the system , stuff we have no idea go togther, hydrocloric acid changes in your stomach, lowers seratonin in the brain, causing depression, as a result needing to drink or do drugs more I would imagine.. Just my guess....knee bone connected to elbow bone thing whatever, you get the picture. etc.
*And promotes monologues with yourslef while walking down the street in public! Don't worry, your lips will be moving, makes for good entertainment for the rest of us HA! Shadow boxing. And wait until you bring booze int he picture..it get worse! Screws up the liver more. And if you're not good with words or bold enough to talk about it to the subject or what ever.
A) you'll be on some Church roof somewhere with a shot gun, an involuntary shoulder and eye reflex..and scanning the ground for targtes! Im exaggerating and making klght ofcourse , but you get the pucture
B) or will find some other way to come out...and not usually good. don't forget it' like hot air. And may piss of loved ones or just other people
* Bad for the eyes too. Puts strain on them squinting in despice. Or when You avert and and bulge the eyes when under pressure of that emotion
*. Your mouth muscles get alot of exersize in frowning downward, and that becomes unattractive.and eventually becomes an integral part of your facial expression. .
*Plus you change your bodies frequesncy, megahertz , aura, what ever you wanna call it. And under that change, any other negative vibe compatable with it will be attracted to you. And so people places and things of that energy will be yours. So you become so bitter , it can't help seaping out of you. And the more it does, the more you get the very thing you hated, and it confirms to you what you thought about it and it snowbals. So we become our thoughts eventualy. Keep watch of 'em
yeah..tough one...don't forget to ask yourself WHY you hate what you hate under at least 7 subsiduary WHYS for those, so on and so forth.. until you can't go farther and come down to the NUCLEUS 'Why'. And it maybe it really is something else completely different in origin?

Laughing . . . first of all, it's "probervial" (referrencing the term "proberv" from the bible story) . . .Hey, readers: Men and women ARE different--in many areas. Research indicates even our brains operate differently. We need to reach the place where we compliment each other. I don't mean "You look nice today." I am referring to recognizing each other's strengths and weaknesses, and shoring the man up in the weak areas and leaning on him where you're not so strong.
BTW, Mr. "perverbal"--I guess if you want a "traditional" woman who doesn't work, you and every other man out there who wants that, should have a s___load of $$ in the bank. Many moons ago, I was a stay-at-home-and-bake-bread wife/mom. When we split, I was left with no credit, education or work skills. His life didn't change much--he still commanded the same salary and his credit was fine. Thank God, credit laws changed, and I had the fortitude to put myself through college by working two jobs. Hmm, I never did find any of those men looking for "traditional" women . . . the ones I met wanted a woman who contributed their financial half to the relationship. | |

ALL women don't hate ALL men. I certainly do not...although men here like to ASSUME I do because I am outspoken about the trouble I have had with online dating.
I think that the ASSUMPTION that women hate men has created a HUGE problem for men. They start out with this huge chip on their shoulder and a paranoid attitude about all women. It would be pretty difficult to overcome that and have a normal "relationship". | |

We hate what they do to us, we hate when the hurt us, we hate when they leave us for someone else.
As women we talk about it in an expressive manner, as you say to "let off steam"
If we hated men, we would hardly be in a dating site looking for men.
Also when expressing ourselves, I personally love to hear the males perspective, it gives me a lot of insight.
That would be my interpretation reading what women write in the forum. | |

No matter how you flip the coin, everyone in the "Village" had to contribute each accoarding to their gifts, and gender, for the well being of the entire village without all the expectations and fanfare. It simply was a matter of survival. One can through emperical evidence deduce why the men became the hunter gatherers, and it is completely obvious why the woman assumed the role she did. For those of you confused, it takes 9 months. Our present arrogance with technology gives us the illusion that things are really different now! Here is another news flash. Our technological advances and the apparent evolution of the sexes is perhaps 1/1000 of a second on the timeclock of evolution. If, and GOD forbid it ever happen, our infrastructure collapses, I wonder how much emphasis will be placed on a man having lots of money, for a successful relationship. What you will find is that survival, of the species, our children, will take precedence of money and material possessions. Things are so great in the country, and we have it so very good, its bad! | |

If our infrastructure collapses, most men will be wailing and gnashing their teeth, lamenting "Oh, my god! Where's the remote!" (Admittedly, I'm a remote freak...mess with my remote and you're mincemeat buddy, so just having some good-natured fun with that one.)
Anyway, the point is, you're still thinking like a cave man. And there's no need to do that. We have EVOLVED. Do I need a man in my life? A resounding YES!!! But I don't need for him to hunt and gather while I mop floors and nurse babies. You strike me as the kind of guy who thinks that men are superior to woman...I mean it's so obvious..you're saying they're stronger, smarter, more capable ...basically, that a woman is not capable of doing anything other than caring for kids and scrubbing toilets. What is this ridiculous reference to "the Borg?" Makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. Anyway, while we're in the mode of being completely unnacountable for your actions, let me turn the tables a bit and say that women are "genetically programmed" to reproduce as well. Thing is, last I checked, the only way a woman could do that was by having sex with a man. Also, nowhere does it say, to my knowledge, that she is limited to reproduce the seed from only one mate. So, the way I see it, women can screw around just as much as men can and we don't have to be held accountable for our actions either ! If a woman cheats on a man, all she has to do is say, "Hey, I'm genetically programmed to reproduce!"

I don't think that was a "job description" and certainly is not a job description for today. Any moron can see that the world has been "peopled" quite adequately -- and then some.

Only putting in my two cents' worth -- if you find that personally humiliating, I'm sorry. But unfortunately, you ARE living in the dark ages. With the modernization of society, behaviors are bound to change. This is one reason women are no longer being dragged around by the hair of the head, why we're allowed to vote and why we're no longer placed in subservient, degrading "roles" like we have been in the past. We are quite capable of surviving (to the exclusion that we do need your seed in order to procreate) without you.
I'm getting from your post that you don't believe in fidelity? Are you saying you can't HELP but screw around? | |
