I don't have grandkids, but I have a 13 year old son...he doesn't even notice my tattoo anymore. Although, when I had it done about 5 years ago, he was very disappointed, as it wasn't "cool".
I asked him what would have been "cool". He said geezz Mom, why couldn't you get something really cool like a big star, or a dog?
-to HAHAnow...your tatt is beautiful! love it!

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 8/21/2005 11:13:35 AM | I never did understand that whole grandparent/tattoo thing. If you think tattoos look silly at a younger age, then yes, you're going to think they look silly at any age. Personally, I'd think it was cool as can be if any of my grandparents had a tattoo - it would show that they weren't born grandparents and were actual people at one time...that they were once young and made choices that their parents wouldn't have approved of.
When I hit the grandparent age, my tattoos are probably going to be the best-looking marks on my body. Please tell me you don't find liver spots and hairy moles attractive!

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 8/21/2005 11:22:17 AM | | Tattoos are alright, but I get real sick of seeing: butterflies, stars, dolphins, or small lizards . . . at least be original if you are going to do it. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 8/21/2005 11:23:35 AM | | It used to be that one or two small tattoos of a flower or hummingbird or whatever was quite sexy but all to often woman now days have the porn star tattoos (lower back) or even the prison tattoos(neck)which must be socially the norm .Everyone and their dog has them including what seems to be young kids.Last night on mad t.v. or it might have been Saturday night live,I'm not sure which, they had a skit called lower back tattoos which was hilarious. It showed in time lapse photography what happens as you age into a nice little old lady and your tattoo becomes far from desirable and no longer hip. With the popularity of multiple body tattoos laser removal centers will make a killing in the not to distant future.I have nothing against tattoos but some don't know when to stop.Multiples on men look o.k. but on woman I personally like subtle over everywhere. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 8/21/2005 11:37:54 AM | back in the early eighties i had a big woman apply for work at a shop i was managing. her top was extremely low and made out of some shiny gaudy material she must have gotten from Roswell (the rat sized dog she had wore a matching outfit) this big picture window on her chest also displayed a pair of large bluebirds. apparently she thought by dumping these behemoths, (which looked to have the consistency of a pair of ailing octopi) on the glass counter and jiggling them at me would increase her chances of employment. with the jello jostling the bluebirds took flight. they almost made it out the door on their own. But my point, finally, is that now, 25 years later, i imagine the bluebirds have evolved into turkey vultures seeking fresh kills. (i doubt they'd be hovering over all desert floor. anybody see TREMORS?)
it wasn't a pretty site then and Wes Craven should be looking for the bluebirds fo his next horror flick. Or George Lucas, Revenge of the Octopi. How about a documenty? When Breasts Attack. mind you, at this point in time they'd be going after ankles only.
...and all this from the demented mind of...ME

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 8/21/2005 2:10:57 PM | I still find them a turn off, maybe a tiny one somewhere discreet
I think the huge ones above the butt, on the breasts, the neck, the hands, the thighs, are all going to be lasered away as soon as they fade.

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 8/21/2005 5:38:32 PM | Tatoo's remind me of MEN. To me 1 very tiny one and cute is all I can take. After that you might as well be driving a rig I never understood tatoo's....they are permanent....you mean I have to stare at that dolphin on your ass until your 80!!?? | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 9/15/2005 10:09:10 PM | I like them in the right spots. Tattoos on women's biceps are a turn-off to me but on their shoulders, their tummies, boobs, mound, legs -- I like them in all of those places. Piercings however, are another story and am not fond of women having them in strange places. The ears and bellybuttons are fine but don't like them in other places. Just my 2 cents. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 9/15/2005 11:13:21 PM | | I have 8 tattoos and when my Dad found out he was not pleased. He has now come to accept them as part of who I am. They don't change anything about me except appearance. Guys I meet generally seem to like them. I've had a few haters too. I'm planning to get more soon. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 9/16/2005 1:07:26 AM | A few small tattoos, tastefully done and/or in sexy spots, can be very seductive. I'm not a fan of MAJOR "body-art"-type tattoos - but to each their own, no? | |
|
| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 9/16/2005 1:18:52 AM | For the record, I have no tattoos I'm not really fond of them on men. If they aren't really noticeable I can live with it lol | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 9/17/2005 12:09:43 PM | I wonder if all of the young gals that get the tattoo across their lower backs realize that when you have a tattoo in that area you are unable to have an epidural in childbirth!
If they think the tattoo hurt, its nothing like giving birth!

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 9/17/2005 12:18:23 PM | Gravity is rarely a friend to either gender. Preference is subjective and personal.
I enjoy body art if there is a complete theme - play hard or go home; over little itsy bitzy ones all in ink (Unless it is Celtic)
As yet, I have not found a particular design I wish to have on my body without resorting to plastic surgery removal. Which certainly doesn't mean I have written body ink off my to do list.
As for.. "grandkids" seeing them....... who really cares - not this woman.
One of the greatest stories I heard was from a fella cleaning out his deceased Aunt's home (she passed at 87 - 5 marriages - of them 1 X 2 he was her last husband - 15 years younger) when his niece found a drawer full of Dildos - all in working order; although he did the 'right thing' in his mind he was applauding her zest for life.

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 9/17/2005 12:21:06 PM | ink on a woman can be very alluring, erotic and sexy and i find it very appealing. it does depend on where it is on her body and what the tat depicts, it can also be a huge turn-off in some instances. | |
