| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 5/12/2007 10:47:05 AM | | I have a scar that runs almost the entire length of my left forearm. I used to wear long sleeve shirts a lot but it's a part of me now. I wouldn't voluntarily undergo any form of self mutilation or body modification though, even for the sake of art. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 5/18/2007 4:44:38 PM | ok tattoo's on most people are trashy I'll admit it. if you ask anyone why they got it most likely your answer will be, "because I felt like it". But some tattoo's do have meaning, I have 3 all on my arms one on my right arm and two on my left below my elbow definitly not hidable!! but they all mean something, I have a heart (tribal) that has a little question mark in it. and when people ask hat it means I tell them it means I have yet to find my love and when I do im gonna go in and get it filled. and one that says "gone from our lives not from our hearts". thats dedicated to my nephew and all the people who I love and who has passed. and i have another heart also tribal but i got it because the tribal around the heart looks like barb wire which means that my heart is protected. And I am going to love these tattoos til the day I die!! because I am going to tell each story of each tattoo to anyone who asks. now hopefully that all made sense lol to yous. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 5/18/2007 8:36:38 PM | I'm not any sort of Lesbian or Bi Sexual but I think Kat Von D is hot. Her tattoos are beautiful and she is almost completely covered. I don't see why men don't appreciate tattoos more....I mean, look at it as decoration or something. It gives women pizazz | |
|
| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 5/18/2007 10:17:20 PM | | I think it's ok, as long as they are not of anything bad or promoting bad or symbolizing bad or hatred. I really don't have a problem with it. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 5/19/2007 2:34:20 AM | I have 7 tats on me and by the great Zeus I plan on getting more (but only handdrawn, custom). My profile says I'm inked; if you are stupid enough to msg me then go off because I have tats, blow it out yer a***.
Having said that, I like tats IF they are tastefully done/beautiful pieces of artwork as this is what tattoos are, IMHO. The garbage I see on ppl nowadays I wouldn't put on myself if someone paid me too! You will not see me getting a lower back tatoo (sheeple tat) nor anything on my neck (that is trashy-again IMO). However, if folks like putting tats on themselves more power to them. It is not for everyone to which I think many have said they don't like them or why would you volutarily do that to yourself? Because last time I checked, this body is mine to do with as I feel. I feel it looks pretty damn awesome with ink. Tattoos to me are like accessories for the body; not everyone will have them nor need them but they look good on some folks!
Also have a pierced nostril to which I love wearing stud or a colorful ring. Once I'm down to goal weight, gonna get my belly button done and then I'm done poking holes in me. Oh, my tats aren't "girlie" either but interesting and meaningful. Although, the next big one I want IS a unicorn but that happens to be my fav fantasy animal

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 5/19/2007 2:42:21 AM | I've never yet heard anyone say 'I never used to fancy them but now they have tattoos they're so hot'
No, tattoos are crap! Why is it that the people that have them always where clothes that show them off, too? It's hardly a badge of honour!

| grossness Posted: 5/19/2007 3:55:52 AM | Stupid loser- well your name says it all, we tell people its bad to be racist we teach our kids not to hate people for no reason and here you are judging people for what they do to their own bodies. I have 2 tats and I didnt have them done because of vanity i didnt have them done to be cool, i had them done because they mean something to me, this is the first time in my life ive heard a debate like this, not once have i been judged for having tats. my boyfriend hates tats but not once has he put me down for having them and it doesnt affect our relationship. I can only guess by your attitude towards this that you are a closed minded insecure little worm maybe you should grow up and take a look at your own sad life before judging other peoples lives, because it has nothing to do with you what someone else does to their own body, and by the way wheather you think a tat is hot or not doesnt matter im sure youve hooked up with plenty of ugly chicks in your life without tats. | |

| tats and brats Posted: 5/19/2007 10:34:40 AM | Sorry if I offended you young lady. I'm sure at 21 yrs old there are many things that mean something to you. Hopefully these things will still mean something to you 20 years from now. For someone who is looking for a guy "who isn't a jerk" you seem very non-judgmental.
I'm sure the decision to get your tats wasn't affected by cultural fads and they probably express your originality ... for the rest of your life.
|
| tats and brats Posted: 5/19/2007 10:38:45 AM | | Something small isn't bad, but multiple tats, or big ones are definitely a turn off. But that's just my preference anyways. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 5/19/2007 5:12:57 PM | | FORTUNATELY IN MODERN TIMES ALL SHOULD BE EQUAL. I PUT WHAT I WANT WHERE I WANT AND I HAVE TO BE WILLING TO ACCEPT THAT OF A WOMAN. TIMES OF DOUBLE STANDEARDS HAVE PASSED. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/2/2007 6:58:34 AM | | Tattoos are sexy whether they are on a man or woman. I am a professional and not trashy because I have them. I also know several other people that have them that are educated and have great careers. Tattoos are just a way for anyone that is brave enough to express their artistic/individual self to do so. If someone wants to be judgemental towards someone that has a tattoo...then guess what it's their loss! You did the person with a tattoo a favor by not wasting their time in the first place...good luck stupidloser! Enough said. | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/17/2007 1:57:46 PM | | I just don't see the need. No. I don't think it is mutilation, it is a choice. I do NOT have any. I do not want any. I will not date anyone with a tat. It is all about chioces we make. I do NOT like them but will defend with my very life the right for anyone who wants them can have as many as they want. But it works the other way as well, I choose NOT to date anyone with a tat. Thank you for letting me share. Tony | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/20/2007 4:10:43 PM | I don't think tattoos are a cry for attention. I have one on my lower back and I got it as a memorial to my mom. Nobody can see it but me. So unless I'm getting attention... from MYSELF, the attention statement is kind of ignorant. But oh well... I'm used to ignorance here. It explains why so many people are single!!

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/21/2007 2:36:14 PM | I find the blatant generalizations and ignorance here a tad bit disturbing. It is a shame that people like to lump all tattooed people into a category of crying for attention or trashy. I work as a Network Engineer in a corporate environment and am fully sleeved. This has not caused me any problems nor does it make me trashy or seeking attention in the slightest. On the contrary, I receive many compliments for my tattoo work, because it is art in itself in the traditional japanese vein. I happen to like japanese traditional art and have a lot of it in my home.
If you want to talk about crying for attention, you should stop to think about the large number of women on here who pose with their cleavage hanging out of their shirt. This to me is a huge cry for male attention, yet is not mentioned for the shear fact that this is acceptable in an attraction way. Tattoos on women can be viewed in the same manner as well. Each individual is free to have unique taste.
I hope the world and people here can be a bit more open minded. If you do not care for tattoos, you can express this, yet labeling someone in a slanderous manner because they are not what you prefer is downright absurd.

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/21/2007 8:05:05 PM | | Soniccascade, well said! I agree completly with what you wrote.I could not have said it better myself...I deal with ignorance from people from time to time,Although for the most part, I recieve positive compliments, and answer many questions regarding my tattoos, tattooing,It has not been a problem with my chosen profession.I will continue with my ink regardless about how others feel or judge me, It's a way of life for me :) | |

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/21/2007 8:28:26 PM | Tatoos on women.
Any more than ONE discretely placed small tatoo on a woman - and I vomit...
They don't look that great on men either...

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/21/2007 8:35:57 PM | A tattoo on a woman is low class, in my humble opinion.
Think of it like a bumper sticker on a car ... it automatically lowers the value. Now consider the car ... on a classy new Lexus, it would really look ridiculous and be out of place. On an old junker, it might actually be an improvment.
I don't think there is any such thing as a classy bumper sticker, or a classy tattoo.

| Tatoos on a women turn on or turn off Posted: 6/21/2007 9:01:18 PM | That is the worst analogy I have ever seen in terms of describing peoples choice of what adorns their body. Class is not defined by how you look completely. It is how you carry yourself and how you contribute to life in general. Based on your theory, appearance alone signifies class, yet some of the worst people I have ever come across in my time have been the best looking. That classy Lexus you speak of could have a horrible engine which brings no power or movement to the car. In the case of people, that engine is character and mental capacity.
It is not the sticker itself, it is what it means to someone. Maybe that parent who puts the sticker stating that their child is an honor student is so proud of their offspring's accomplishment that they wish to share with the world. Who are you to look down upon their form of expression when it clearly means more than anything you have said here.
Once again tattoos do not define social status. Character defines status. Just ask all the revered professional athletes who juice up and go out and commit felonious crimes. "But they can run a 4.40 40 yard dash!" Big effing deal.
