I think tats are beautiful and they are an expression of a person's individuality.

I have a butterfly tat on my back, which I got 2 years ago and that I'm very proud of and have no regret getting for it holds personality significant meaning for me and it's empowering.

Those who choose to judge others unfairly and look down upon them just because they have a tat or tats are shallow.

I have 2.

For those men that judge, and scoff right off the bat, about women that have a tat - that otherwise wouldn't even know they had one (or more) had they not been told, mainly due to not even beginning to KNOW the woman yet?

Gotta love 'em! ... They weed themselves out FOR me! !

I like tattoos on women. BUT..... if it is their last name tattooed across their chest or back then I steer clear.

Personally I don't find it attractive on women BUT it is all a matter of an individual's taste. If you are into it, great, more power to you.

I've known and worked with MANY people (doctors & nurses) in the medical field and though I've seen tech's with them, I've never seen any doctors nor nurses with them.

^^^^ And were you naked with those doctors and nurses? I said "locker room." You wouldn't have known these people had tats unless you saw them in no more than their underwear.

this thread is brilliant to read through!
I have 1 small tattoo which has a meaning to me but its where i can hide it, i also have quite a few piercings, i know that some people don't like them but i don't think you should judge people by them, what if your soulmate lies beneath the tattoos or piercings that you are so against?

I find tattoos on women to be incredibly hot. The more, the better. Especially sleeves. My whole upper back is tattooed and I plan to get more, so I would be a hypocrite to say that I disapprove of women having them. I see tattoos as self expression. Your body is a canvas. Paint as you please.

I love tattoos and plan to have as many as I want ,as big and bright and colorful as I feel

Raeding this thread is pretty funny. honestly.

the rudeness of people amazes me.

but i have to agree with one of the post i saw , most likely women with alot of tattoos or more then usuall would never be into the ppl hated them anyways.
so who cares

maybe I should have tatoos of acne done on my buttocks. Let women look at tatoos of acne and pimples designed on to my buttocks. I'll tell her that they're symbols of a "gang" I belonged to when "I lived in Los Angeles," and that each "pimple" represents someone I assaulted.

If we connect the dots will the result be a map to the mind you appear to have lost?

I think this is hysterical.....i am laughing as i write.....id forgotten how narrow minded people can be, ive heard the sublime to the ridiculous. I have 3 tattoos - two are over 20 years old and certainly weren't the result of having a personality disorder, or being a member of a gang or even a fashion statement.....simply because i liked them and twenty years on i still like them. They are not 'in your face', twee or girlie butterfly types....to me they are art......one was done by a very well known tattoo artist who is now dead and i wouldnt remove it for anyone.
I dont mind if people say they dont like them - but why all the insults to go with it - that shows a lack of intellect.
As for men rebelling against women with tattoos good luck to you id be pleased to be boycotted by you, im lucky that the men i have met in the past have actually liked them as much as i do - thank god you are not all the same....

'I have a theory. A person's educational level is directly inversely proportional to the number of tattoos on their body. The irony is that those of you with a lot of tattoos have no idea what that statement means, but you are pretty sure it is not good. I think everyone should have their IQ tattooed on their forehead. Wouldn't that make dating so much easier?'

And this guy is a genius..........i have 3 tattoos and guess what .....3 degrees as well......clever boy!!!!! I would have my IQ tattoo'd on my head but my foreheads not wide enough......................

For me *usually* tattoos are a turn off, as are obsessive and excessive amounts of piercings.
I think a woman looks beautiful in her natural appearance. Tattoos all over her arms and body just hide that beauty, regardless of whatever 'meaning' the tattoos might represent. Green ink that turns into a blur as your skin ages? Just not my thing I suppose.

Being a girl with some and plan to get more. I don't hear people with them having problems with ones who don't have any.

As a tattooed woman I do find some of these comments both amusing and ironic.

For myself, any and all of my tattoos have been carefully selected and placed permanently upon MY body, for MY viewing, and MY own personal reflection and enjoyment. That being said.....although I do feel very sexy, not one of my tattoo choices was ever determined by its "sex appeal" for the enjoyment of some unknown future suitor or because it was deemed "cool"by pop culture's standards.
This thread does make me laugh.......because to me a tattoo is an intimate expression, and a personal talisman or icon. Something with deeper meaning.
How ironic that the focus is more about sex appeal and placement, rather than meaning. Perhaps if one paid attention, my tattoos could be the ice breaker to an actual conversation....OR were you too busy staring at the location, to notice that my tattoo is actually an Aramiac expression from the Apocrapha and that we both have an interest in ancient Christian mythology, and could have been travel companions to Jerusaleum.

As for the comment about people not understanding the origins of tattooing..., That poster must love to generalize and ASSume that people with tattoos must absolutely not be literate, educated or well travelled, not to mention working professionals.
Hell, I'de venture to guess that there are actually people out there who are nieve enough to believe that people with tattoos in general, must either be criminals, drug addicts, gang members, sailors or prostitutes.
TOO FUNNY !!!

I guess my tattoos are also FILTERS of unlike minded individuals...REPEL, REPEL.

Oh wow, people really amaze me sometimes. Anyways I have a 10 tattoos, and the four on my arms can not be hidden =) If any guys have a problem with it, oh well? I also have two piercings in my lip, my tongue, nose, and a bunch in my ears.

I am a nurse, working on becoming a nurse practitioner. I also worked as a paramedic in the states.

And when I get older, I will be a kick ass grandmother. Everything will be wrinkly and sagging, so why should I care if I have some extra ink on me?

Oh and the whole no epidural if you have a lower back tattoo is a MYTH! Honestly you think that would be true with the medical technology these days?

if you don't like women with ink just say so , I don't think you should also throw in the insults .remember" don't judge a book by the cover "? Anyways I think is sexy to see a woman ink .yes I love tatoos I've got 1 or 20 ,17 of which i've drawn myself .and no I don't like girls with tats only or every tat I've seen on girls but that is my opinion . It doesn't give me the right to judge or put down

The difference between people who have tattoos and people who don't is that the people that have tattoos don't care whether you have them or not.

And the world should rebel against people too thick to spell 'tattoo' correctly!! Mind you , you'd need to amalgamate to give you a chance of having one brain cell between you!!!!
