| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/13/2005 2:33:05 PM | I am sure that many here will not read what I have to say with intellect. Many issues and problems are associated with mix dating. As a recent study has shown, due to race mixing and imigration, there will not be any redheads born after the year 2020 due to genetic mixing. Yes the world is changing but it is based on propaganda. Regardless of race, everyone should be proud of thier heritage and not be made to feel ashamed of it for any reason especially in dating. I feel everyone has a right to preference. They do not have a right to treat others in a negative manner based on that preference. that is true racism. Be proud of your heritage and honor it. you may just be destroying more than you realize in the long run if you don't protect it. Personally, I do not care to date any woman that has crossed that line or would. | |

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/13/2005 2:45:50 PM | I am one that is very proud of my celtic roots - but have dated men of different races in the past. You cannot really choose who you fall in love with in the end - unless you subject yourself to only being in situations where you are only around your race.
Which study was this? I am curious? I have many readheads in my family...

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/13/2005 3:32:23 PM | marathonman - that was quite funny
Thats why I would like to see the study... I have never heard of any. Like I said, I know plenty of redheads... Including my family (my natural hair color is dark auburn). Hmm me thinks I will try to google it lol
|
| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/13/2005 3:33:42 PM | | Okay the only thing I could find on google re: smaller populations of redheads and breeding- was about waterfowl lol | |

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/13/2005 8:29:40 PM | This is something I've never understood, we may be different colors, but we are all the same race Homo Sapiens, or Human beings. If you look at some of the testing done on this in the early 60's it's something to do with some peoples desire to feel "superior" to others, rally doesn't have to do with anything else. Guess that comes from a lack of self esteem. I always felt sorry for people who limited there lives experience that way. I grew up in a very mixed society (military brat) and had and still have, friends of all "races". Experiencing other cultures and lifestyles has enriched my life and I would never want it any other way.
Guess I'll just never get it.
Wish others understood
eventually maybe..................................

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/14/2005 8:08:42 AM | I hear ya ET2, I hear ya!! Hopefully by the year 3000- universal acceptance will be a world wide phenomenon.
As for Harley's post-
As a recent study has shown, due to race mixing and imigration, there will not be any redheads born after the year 2020 due to genetic mixing
and -
Be proud of your heritage and honor it. you may just be destroying more than you realize in the long run if you don't protect it
I really want to know what mathematician/statistics experts/geneticists/etc. figured out that 2020 was the exact year which would signal "the end of all redheads." That sounds more like a Nostradamus prophecy than a "study". Ok- to be fair- your post does have SOME basis in fact- despite the conjecture, I do think it is something to think about.
In regards to the thesis that redheads will disappear- Well, the genes won't, but since the expression of this phenotype occurs at such a low percentage even in regions where it is common, it can be believed that it is declining in numbers as a visible phenotype as people from various parts of the British Isles (where this phenotype is believed to have originated) intermarry at a greater rate (red hair is caused by a combination of several alleles on the MC1R locus, and so recombination with people without red hair would result in the diffusion of these alleles throughout a more numerous population where expression of the trait would decrease-see Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium). It might even be that the great emigration of Scottish and Irish peoples during the 17th to 19th centuries to the European settler colonies resulted in a sharp drop in the percentage of peoples with red hair in the world. Not only would the descendents of Scotts and Irish intermarry with Italians, English, French and Poles, but, more likely, they would intermarry with individuals from other areas of Scotland or Ireland where red hair was not as common.
My point? It's not "race mixing" (whatever that is) that leads to the emergence and submergence of various phenotypes found amongst the human species. It's "people mixing". Period. Two white people can have a child- and "destroy" (in your words) any possibility of THAT child having redheaded children- simply on the basis that a certain gene may be diffused to the point that the trait is not likely to be passed on.
So- unless someone organizes the first annual "Giant redhead orgy-a-thon" - we may indeed see fewer and fewer people with redhair. That's life. We can't "protect" genetic phenotypes under the umbrella of "preserving heritage" - without instituting some sort of law stipulating who can have sex with whom.
Finally-
Personally, I do not care to date any woman that has crossed that line or would
Dude- if you’re saying that you wouldn’t date a Woman just because she had the audacity to care about someone from “outside her race” – well (with complete understanding that this is your preference and your right) I think you’re seriously limiting yourself (to say the least).
Just my opinion- as you are completely entitled to yours.
Life is too short to worry about the fine details.

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/14/2005 9:40:07 PM | *Just a note, off topic chatter back and forth between 2 posters can be cause for getting banned as well as the thread closed.
I think if we read the threads Dating outside your race,black/white,interracial dating, soooo curious asian women, Indian women ect.....we can see there is a great deal of interest in the topic of race pro and con and a greater amount of ignorance that I believe the threads can help with. One observation I see, is that many still see things in "black" and "white" as if there aren't other "groups". Also,it seems that asian men (particularly SE Asian men)are still stereotyped in negative ways as well. I'd like to hear more Asian men, particularly SE Asian share their views. Again.....PEOPLE are PEOPLE. Celebrate human variation and cultural diversity

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/14/2005 10:15:32 PM | On that statement, "personally, I do not care to date any woman that has crossed that line or would." Wow, there's a classic redneck, racist, white male statement if I ever heard one! cross that line!!! There's a line now, and some white dude has drawn it in the sand by golly, and don't you gals dare cross it! Pllllllllllleassssssssseeeeeeeee. This makes me sick to hear, but I guess some men out there really do think they are supreme beings. Get a life buddy, the world HAS CHANGED! PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE! | |

marathon man as always.
Why just tolerate when you can revel and celebrate.
But sadly some live in the 21st century information revolution but are stuck with 18th century attitudes...but everytime I think of them images of dinosaurs come to my mind... and for the first time the word EXTINCTION puts a smile on my face.

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/14/2005 11:36:33 PM | I was married to an Asian women for 7 years. We had some great years and we had some bad years. As my mother told me when I was young, " Stick your finger in the ground and smell where you come from." This basically translated to me as "we are all created equal".
However, the tough part of it was the cultural issues on both sides and societies' skewed values depending where you live. Don't kid yourselves , racists exist in all camps.
I would say I have had the most enlightened years in being married to this beautiful woman. Sad, to say the marriage has ended with us falling out of love for many other reasons then the racial reasons.
So, I would say it makes no difference what race you are, date outside your race. There are beautiful women of all size , shapes, and races. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. The human race will really be better for it.

Amen! That there are people who think like this is astounding, that there are people who would actually express that feeling is truly un blanking believable! I dated someone who actually asked me if I had ever dated a black man. At the time I had not yet. But he was dead serious... it mattered to him! I told him to take a hike! And next thing you know, I met my first black boyfriend and had a wonderful relationship! I can't believe that there are still people like this, then again, maybe I can, I grew up in a town full of 'em, glad I'm outta there! EEEEK.

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/15/2005 6:41:53 AM | Well I still live in the worlds largest trailer park - and there are stares from strangers at mixed couples walking down the street. My cousin Diane grew up in this type of enviornment, swore up and down that she wouldn't ever date anyone that wasn't white. 2 bad relationships later, she is enjoying her life with a wonderful and respectful black man, and has the most adorable little girl. But there are a lot of people out there with views still pre 1968. When she had her, it was like 'oh my god what kind of life is she going to have?' There was worries from others she wouldn't be accepted by the black community because she was white, and the white community because she was black - you know what? The human community has accepted her. You still and always will have small minded people, with 'values' installed by their small minded parents, its a chain that continues into generations. But there are those who open their minds and their hearts and break the chain. Ignorance has no color. | |

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/15/2005 7:45:50 AM | Flidais......I would date you in a heart-beat. Why? I love your mind! It's red-hot baby! Who cares about skin colour.

Caribbean King...........another guy who anyone would wanna date in my mind. I would. Smart as a whip there buddy!
I do not care about skin colour. That is not in my dating criteria. I have dated outside my race. To me it's all about the mind connection and the humour a man has.
I have to tell you all that your a few of the finest examples of men with gorgeous minds. I love you all for that! Keep on truckin and educating others everywhere you go.

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/15/2005 12:36:40 PM | | hey Quennie,Ya never know. That trailor park you live in might be storing the next "Jarome Iginla" Best hockey player in The NHL right nowin my opinion and he's Milato.Take care.NY. | |

| Dating Out Side YOUR RACE Posted: 9/15/2005 3:59:32 PM | Yah we do have good hockey players, even though I am not an oilers fan (go Calgary and TO, and of course rangers), we do have one of the few black players in the hockey league (name escapes me at moment) - he is so nice too - does a lot for the community :) But see its so funny, when you have just the average interracial couple (doesn't need to be black and white either) - they get stares, but when they are famous - the same people see nothing wrong - whats up with the hypocracy? | |
