I like tattoos. Just not all tattoos. Some tattoos on the chest can be very cool looking and not take away from someone's natural beauty. It all depends on what it is and how well it was done.

This coming from a non-inked fellow.

I did it because it was a gesture of symbolism, close to my heart, painful, forever...like love usually is, so my sternum/cleavage was very fitting for me, I feel that its like the proverbial frosting on the cupcake(s)...lol Can anyone spot the tattoo on my profile? I would like to think men see my smile first....yet thats not always the case....lol.

I have tattoos, 4 to be exact, but there are certain places I would NEVER get one and the breast is one of them. The reason why is that butterfly I got when I was 18 will look like a terradactyl when I 45.

But that is just me...

A woman who thinks she is making herself "sexy" by getting a stupid, ugly, low self-esteem tatoo on her body is dumb if she thinks it makes her sexy. Sexy has nothing to do with a tatoo.....

I just find piercings and tats as a form of self mutilation and one not liking what they are born with, same thing goes for plastic surgery...no thank you.

Plastic surgery too.......seriously? Well, maybe we need to have a few words with whom ever designs each body because they gave me about 5 sizes to big of boobs for my frame so I did what I medically HAD to do to make them fit right.

It is no ones business what anyone does to their own bodies...........whether it is cosmetic or medical. I have a tattoo on the small of my back...........but it sure seems funny that no one has ever told me.........I think you are amazing but you have a tattoo so I am going to forget all the about the great qualities that you have because of the ONE that I PERSONALLY dont' like.

I personally would never get one on my chest because I still have a larger chest and don't want anymore attention drawn to them than they already get, but that is my choice.

I have to laugh at the comment about no one with an education will want a girl with a tattoo.........I guess you better tell that to the educated men in my email box. IMHO, those that think a woman with a tattoo is a tramp are the people that only look at the pictures of the book instead of reading it.

Your right..........someone who can't spell tattoo shouldn't get one, because poor spelling is soooooooooo much sexier.

Sexy has nothing to do with a tatoo

Hmmm........why is tatoo underlined in red?

Low self esteem tattoo? I might have missed that one, because mine are a hummingbird and the other, an angel

To each his/her own...
...I didn't get my tattoo's to "make myself sexy" MickieCC ...God did that for me. My body art, which (as an artist) I helped designed, just enhanced it. At least, that is my opinion but since they are for me and only me, that's all that matters.

And it just cannot be BOTH ways, anyway....accused of "getting tattoos to make ourselves sexy" OR "tattoos are NOT sexy." Which one?? LOL

i like tatoo's , some of them , but on the breast , just screams tacky, most men would agree a natural breast is far more pleasing to admire .

i prefer a nice tat on the sweet sweet ass ! jmo

Dated a gal a few times, she had eyes tat'd on one of her breast, it was positioned so it'd be peeking out from the edge of her shirt, everytime i saw em they freaked me out....

When the heck did women thinking it made them or trying to be sexy by getting a tattoo come into it?! The question was whether others think it is sexy on a woman's breast. "Sexy" never came into play when I considered a tattoo nor was my breast the location I considered initially. Near the heart seemed appropriate for a memorial to my dad and I wanted it where I could see it easily.

Maybe from men getting a rap for ogling the breasts during conversations that eyes tattooed should be appropriate for some.... ?

Yeah i kinda was thinking along the same lines but i rather stare into their eyes more... You can see a lot more in the eyes than down the blouse...

And funny you should respond - the gal w/the tats was from Indiana! :P

This is an interesting venture for me...weighing in for the first time in the "forums" arena.
To highlander 5, while you are definitely entitled to your PO that tattoos are trashy and somewhat beneath intellectuals and professionals, thank god your view is not shared by most people. I have a tattoo on my one breast that is not always visible, but I've received a lot of compliments from those that have seen it. Then again, I have 3 tattoos that are there for me first and foremost and quite frankly I don't care if others are offended...it's not about them. It's all about personal preference.
I work in a very public industry and know for a fact that many know about my adornments and think it's cool. You won't see them in the office...work is not the time or place as some may not be comfortable with it...but with the right person, it can be a great conversation piece.

It's amazing the variety in Indiana... to tat or not to tat that tis the question.... lol

but with the right person, it can be a great conversation piece.

Exactly!

I got my tattoo in the same area as you WindRoper, and for similar reasons. I got it for me, and I wanted to be able to see it. As well, what it represents is very near and dear to my heart, so the placement, close to my heart, was important to me.

Another plus, it can be covered up easily in professional situations, but peeks out when I'm wearing tank tops in the summer. It's awesome and I love it!

..I'll never understand the need to ruin a perfectly good work of art with the pretence of other "works of art".

Agreed....

That sort of reminds me of a recent trip to Las Vegas... A bunch of us "guys" were hanging out at the hotel pool "checking out" what appeared to be a "hottie" at the other end of the pool... She was laying face down on, smothered in suntan oil,...but you could tell she was lean, fit, great "b-tt", great rack, and her face looked attractive from what we could see...

THEN she stood up... and you could probably hear us "guys" taking a mental "step back" with a collective "UGGG".... YES, great body, attractive face, BUT COVERED IN TATTOOS... on her boobs, stomach, back, legs, even her neck.... I remember commenting... asking (rhetorically) HOW could she do that to herself...ruin what would have otherwise been almost perfection (in terms of physical beauty)...

Given the chance, I wouldn't have touched her with a 10 foot pole... but that's just me...

According to you. Some others might find her even more beautiful and she herself probably does too. Just a thought.

quite possibly, she didn't want you touching her with a ten-foot pole..or even a 10

(or 5, or 3, etc. ) inch one..
