Posted: 1/21/2007 11:02:29 AM | this is interesting.........i think there is relationship and there are relationship...also there is a friends and then there are friends....it all depends.
if i am in a committed relationship i would like to trust my partner enough for him to go with his female friends and I wouldn't want him to feel he is sacrificing his social life because of me. however if i don't happen to trust his female friends i would only be ok with it, if i am invited..if i am not then he has to know that he is not welcome back. i found myself in this situation in the past and my then boyfriend was invited for a birthday party in my neighborhood by his x who was trying everything to get him back....of course she didn't want me there.....my boyfriend asked me if its ok for him to go....my answer was do what you have to do....from this he understood exactly what i meant and how i felt.....and he didn't go...had he gone...it would have been over. | |

Posted: 1/21/2007 11:41:33 AM | | You develop "relationships" over time.Some remain just "frienships".Some lead to pretty nice benefits.Others can become just people you know.THe boundaries change as it develops and it can all be fun and all be good ,BRING IT ON.Don't you hate X's that know new "Friends" you're trying to develop a "relationship" with?Should ba A Law against it.A pretty good example of E-dating ,there be people you get to know via here you would love to meet.Actualy It's thier generation that's sreweed-up the whole "relationships "issue.We ****ed-up thec planet,that's how they get back at us for it.Hey we are just"animalls",right?Really good friends is awesome,but the point of of "mating" is?Do everything but that unless it's mutually desirable.Pursuing a romantic relationship can and does run great"Frienships".Through experience,not realizing boundaries even with people you meet at p.o.f get-togethers can be a BIG problem. You"Do What You Gotta Do","Friends" deserve different benefits of knowing you than "Interests". | |

Is there anytime when the other is not jealous of an opposit sex? It depends on how you feel in your relationship (secure) or (insecure). I always say if someone is gonna cheat then you can't stop them you can only stop the emotions of hurt and hate!!!! Trust is the most important thing in a relationship as to qualities in a person. We were meant to love everyone so why is this such a big deal anyways we live learn and move on. Life does change and so do people so why stop having fun and settle for just one friend. Love has different expressions so which one have you experienced?Here's another thought when the same sex gets together they tend to stick up for each other and makes more amnosity cause they have to fit in so what's the difference no matter what catch 22!!!!! jUST MY OPINION!!! | |

When I first read the question, my immediate response was: of course one can!!! Then, as I began to read the responses, I realized it isn't that simple. I have several male "friends" that will never be sex partners--they are too close as friends to spoil that relationship. Then, there are a couple of other "friends" that I can see having sex with if the situation, attmosphere, and feelings ever caught on. I personally like the idea of having those male friends and not even wondering if sex will ever be brought up--makes a very freeing relationship and one that can be expected to last a long long time. Then again: to each their own!!! | |

If i ever was forced to choose between someone i had a intimate relationship with and one of my very good male friends... i dunno what i would do, alot of my decision would of course totally be based upon the situation, but if it was because of pure jelousy from my partener i would not choose. i would be incredibly upset because obviously he would not trust me, and i have never, and would never cheat on someone i was with. Most of the men i date, have many friends that are women, i would never ask someone to give up a friendship if i had a problem with it. i would take it upon my self to fix it and if it was too hard to be with someone who had female friends then i would leave the situation. usally i would just make friends with his freinds anyway...It is good to have a wide variety of ppl in ur life regardless of age, sex, color.... | |

all the women i talk to always want to be my friends, they never want anything else.
They seem to claim they know if i am their type by a single glance of my pic or a 5mins conversation, i personally think they are stupid to judge solely on a pic and/or a 5min chat.

I have just found your posting on this old thread and I agree entirely, it makes me feel better and sure of the action I must take.
I met a guy on here in December and we have been seeing each other since. He says that he considers himself to be 'in a relationship'. BUT I have found that he has been contacting other women and is still on other dating sites. He has been carefull to delete himself from here and another site Iknew he was on. He 'hangs out with some lesbian girls which I dont feel threatened by by the rest sucks!
I asked him about it and he said that he was 'lonely and bored in the daytime' and has made me feel mean and guilty. He said that he is just looking for some women to chat to and have coffee with..... HAH BL--DY HAH
How does he think this makes me feel - seeing him on other sites advertising for a friend and Lover! ! Coffe my ass! He HAS to GO !!!!! | |
