Why do guys always say 'tell her to douche' as if that's magically going to clear up the problem. Douches went out years ago guys! They're no good for us and they'll make the problem worse!

Posted: 7/15/2005 11:45:46 AM | This has always amazed me. How can someone NOT know they smell down there? I mean I am an absolute clean freak, have been since that first whiff hit me at puberty. A lot of gals say this is a no-no, but my credo is they'll have to pry the FDS from my cold dead fingers, lol. The others are right in that douching is not recommended, though my doctor says it is alright once a month but no more than that. I douche occasionally, sometimes right after my period. And of course I get check ups if anything unusual seems to be going on, which is thankfully rare.
I'm sorry she is putting you in that position. I do think you should say something. Practice that tact, though. Still you are doing her a favor if she is clueless about her hygiene (or cooter health.)
