Whoever is organizing or planning to arrive first, wear or bring something distinctive and post it before hand so everyone arriving will easily spot the table. No matter how much you look like your profile picture, it is sometimes hard to recognize people in real life - and those who are a little nervous showing up alone to a group of people they don't know may feel reassured enough to venture down if they know they will recognize the group.
Our last pub night I wore purple mardi-gras beads, then turned them into a game that seems to be continuing through other events - and a great ice breaker! | |
