| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 9/29/2005 2:30:39 PM | I think it would be great for all of us in the Houston area to get together! This online stuff isn't so easy. Maybe a get together is just the ticket. | |

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 9/30/2005 6:28:11 AM | | Yeah i think it'd have a great turn out! Any ideas? | |

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 9/30/2005 7:23:03 PM | | red river has 50 cent longnecks all night | |
|
| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 10/2/2005 11:38:19 AM | | I'm near downtown Houston. Lookin for some people to hit a club or bar. We should organize something for a Saturday night. | |

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 10/5/2005 12:16:12 PM | | there is another thread thinking of a get together at Night Moves on 1960? I believe there is 25 cent beer involved. I think it should be in a more central location. This way those singles right around Houston...(ANgleton, Galverston. Pearleand...ect...) could make it as well. | |

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 10/5/2005 2:01:54 PM | | It has been recommended that we try to meet at Sam's Boat on Richmond on a Thursday evening. | |
|
| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 10/5/2005 10:31:10 PM | Yeah Sam's is great... why Thu.? It's really easy to skip tabs there, why not a weekend?
Last I heard there was 50-cent beer at Numbers on... either Fri or Sat, I forget. How's that for central. Hey, anybody remember which night it was, and is #'s still doing that?

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 10/17/2005 9:44:29 PM | | Newcomer to Katy! I did discover Mo's Place on Kingsland and Mason--- | |
|
| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 10/18/2005 7:02:28 AM | | I think they were thinking it might be less busy. However i agree that it would be difficult to figure out who is with POF. | |
|
| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 10/19/2005 1:15:15 PM | | I am from the Clear Lake/Pasadena Area..screw .50 or .25 beer, that place is going to be so crowded we won't be able to tell who's a POF member. Sam's boat or even Vito's would be a great place to have a get together. I know some people at Vito's maybe I can ask if they can have a POF party and maybe have drink specials. If not what's a few extra buck's, you might actually get a chance to meet your life long partner....i think that is priceless. | |

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 11/2/2005 8:45:33 AM | Thank you Roaul. If you lived here in Houston, oooooooh, the things I would do to you!! LOL
I live near Sugarland, just North of it. I have been on this site for almost 2 years. WHERE are the guys from Houston? ( looks down at body). Not bad for 48....so...what gives??

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 11/3/2005 9:05:44 AM | I used to live in Houston..Spring Branch...was the lonely Canadian in Houston (among others I'm sure)...LOL
You guys, you just gotta PLAN stuff and get out there. Here in Alberta, Canada we started out with small local meets that attracted people from a certain area of town, then we worked our way up to large meets that have up to 250 people attending from across the province (state). We are having another one on the 12th...!!!
So plan a wing night in North Houston (get the Kingwood and Lake Conroe people), or in West Houston (Katy and such people) and get going!
I only posted in here because I'll be in Houston in January and was looking to see if y'all had POF gatherings there.

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 11/3/2005 6:29:44 PM | I totally agree.
Back in the day, we would simply have a few people meet at a resturant for lunch to get to know eachother, and from there it would evolve to a bigger event someplace else.
I think at one point, we took over a bar with over 300 people.
They eventually kicked us out. We were cheap and scaring away the regulars. :)

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 11/3/2005 8:38:04 PM | I don't get the problem...
From the first get together I had through the last, there were always at least 100+ ppl...
One thing I do is to do a search for ppl from the area and email them because there are a lot of ppl that never get into the forums...
Of course Jax parties include things like bonfires, jello wrestling, and waterslides...
I also have the web cam going during the events too. Last time there were around 40 ppl watching and partying that way with us all the way from here to Canada...
Another thing is for the host to simply set the time, date, and place instead of opening the floor to everyone as to these things...
If they can't make one they'll make the next...

| Hello HOUSTON!!! Posted: 11/10/2005 7:59:17 AM | Mid-Town here (bordering downtown off Gray). It's been a long way to getting here - grew up in La Porte, went to Tech in Lubbock, lived life in Denver for 5 years down to Austin and came full circle back to H-Town. Ready to roll!!!
