Posted: 8/29/2005 9:50:15 PM | -I light some candles and soak in my 6' tub until the water cools down. Using bath salts or bubble bath is a great way to relax. And I have a ghetto that I can put on the vanity (nowhere near the tub) so that I have some soothing background noise. This will be tonight, as I am feeling sick and lethargic. (strep throat  )
-Or I stick in a new (or an old favourite) cd and find a lonely road to cruise down in my truck. Driving can be very cathartic.  (Although - yeah, these days the price of gas makes this kinda expensive - but sometimes relaxation is worth the cost)
-Or I dig out some of my cross-stitch patterns and have at 'em
-Or I dig out my camera and find a sunset to take advantage of. | |

Yeah there is nothing like laying down some sweet trance tracks .... everytime i do that i just forget everything and let my body move on autopilot | |

Posted: 10/2/2005 1:13:23 PM | | lose myself in music...either playing or listening... and writing!!! great emotional release...brings sense of balance and peace back in...or going to the beach and just listening to the sound of the waves and the wind and the birds...or walking anywhere and just breathing in fresh air and feeling nature surround me. | |

Posted: 1/16/2009 3:16:32 AM | | I've already done a ton of lavender, candlelit baths ... work on my word puzzles daily ... written poetry ... soaked in the beauty of winter wonderland ... slept & lazed in bed for much longer than I should have ... I work out alone ... listen to music alone ... do chores alone ... spend enough time on this dang computer alone either working or playing. I love going on long, scenic drives but it's not fun doing it without company. I spend enough time doing stuff alone. Now I just want someone to do stuff with. | |

I go into forums and dig up old threads, but I wouldn't describe myself as lonely or lacking other things to do. I have so many things to do that I am beggining to suspect that I searching old threads has become a type of avoidance behaviour. I also think some of us are avoiding Team Delete and want to post on something other than what is most current. The other thing is I am not sure why anyone would make a sport of laughing at others. Perhaps, I don't understand ... what did you call it ... European charm. | |
