| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/8/2005 12:51:38 AM | In general fire signs go well with fire, water with water, earth with earth, and air with air. But a person should really get a complete chart done and bear in mind that these are only tendancies and not facts.
At the very least go to a library and look up his/hers venus, mars, and moon placements. A woman will get along well with a sag man for example if her mars is in sag even if she isn't a fire sign. A man should look for where venus is placed in his chart. The moon is the emotions. Women tend to live more in their moon signs than their sun signs.
Myself for example: Cancer moon and a Scorpio born on the cusp of sag with two planets (mercury and saturn) in sag that are 'sitting right on top of' my sun sign. Therefore, as far as astrology goes I am truly a Scorpio/Sag (neither one more than the other) with a mars in pisces. I should get along ideally with any water sign that has a little fire in their chart somewhere.
Chart shape is also important too, mine is a sailboat (all the planets are on the bottom of the chart in a tight formation except one: mars in pisces). That means all of my energy (a mars concern) goes out through the one planet that forms the top of the sail.
I usually meet pisces however who either take the wind out my sail or I his so go figure. But that's what the stars offer as advice.

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/8/2005 2:53:05 AM | Well, I'm a Libra and indeed very much so. Take a look at my profile.
One of the signs I'm supposed to be compatible with; Aquarius males. Now, I'm not saying all Aquarius males are such, however my X husband and X fiance were controlling, tyrannical bullies, very poor esteem and yes, with other 'endearing' ( sarcasm wit here ) qualities.
I'm sure their own personal lifes skills' had something to do with their demeanor long before I entered their world. Let's simply say; my life is much more better without these two mentioned above.

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/8/2005 6:46:46 AM | I'm a Gemini. I have never figured out the sign thing, but I seem to fit the description of a Gemini........as well as a few other signs.....LOL | |
|
| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/8/2005 8:09:52 AM | | I have to agree with the look at the whole chart idea. Thats what I do. I dont really think about specific signs as it is indivisual quality that matters. I dont care too much for Aquarius, Aries, or Virgo. But Gemini, Libra, Cancer (especially), Scorpio, and to an extent taurus tend to be really good I think. Though this is a mere generalization And wouldnt disconsider someone because of when they were born as that's ludocrouse. | |

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/8/2005 8:12:53 AM | "scorpio EXCELLENT in bed!!!"
Maybe I should read up on this sign to adopt some of there traits, I'm currently studying seduction tecniques (like what to say and do on a priming date to ensure she'll want more of me), and applying these should keep a girl interested and attracted.

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/8/2005 8:58:34 PM | hey, jay, whaddya say, got no spelling checker today
astrology is "ludocrouse" "there" traits are "ludocrouse"
and your seduction "tecniques" are probably "ludocrouse"

| Strong Libra Posted: 9/9/2005 2:40:17 AM | | I use to think something was wrong with me, when it came to relationships and love. But ever since I've been researching my sign and my significant other/s (at the moment), I trip at how accurate they really are. It kind of gives me a heads up to why things are the way they are or what to kind of expect from the opposite sex i am considering getting involved with. I share our compatiblity horoscope with them as well and they find it entertaining, yet accurate! | |
|
| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 2:46:38 AM | Taurus and Capricorn seem to have pretty good compatibility.
I didn't think I believed in signs at all.. but there have been times when i was dating someone... and all the sudden I decided to look up our compatability..
You can actually doo a google search!

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 3:55:08 AM | Hey, ummm, I hate to break it to all of you astrology-believers out there, but it's a concrete impossibility for your zodiacal sign to have any impact on your personality let alone your compatibility with others. Come on, there's no mysterious force guiding the orientation of the stars in the sky...they're simply at that position as a result of millions of years of gradual motion through the milky way (a motion guided by the laws of PHYSICS not personality!). Furthermore, the positions of the points in the sky are only the APPARENT positions. They are in no way related to one another. For example, in the constellation Gemini, there are two stars identified as Castor and Pollux. Castor and Pollux were legendary adventurers and fighters. They were also brothers but wouldn't it be logical for the two stars to be within close proximity to one another? No. Pollux is 33.729 ly away from us and Castor is 51.567 ly away. There are even greater distance dissociations in every constellation. In fact, the entire greek mythologies should only be taken lightly as the constellations only exist 'virtually' and from our 'sol system' perspective alone. The same goes for astrology. It is indeed somewhat confusing to find such an ancient waste of time to still be popularized today in newspapers and magazines when astronomers and physicists are bringing us the FACTS about the heavens. So it suffices to say that I'm a Taurus and it does not matter what sign my mate would be.
(Sorry. I just had to say that. )
|
| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 4:12:02 AM | **Correction** SOME stars MAY be within close proximity to one another. But unless they are binary systems (which would require magnification to view and are thus not considered to be important by astrology), rest assured that those few stars have no significant physical influence on one another let alone on the planet Earth or its inhabitants. | |

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 6:07:53 PM | | am70sguy, cant believe you are knocking an aries- we are the baby of the zodiac- if we dont get what we want, we throw a fit- is that what you are thinking? well, some aries are like that but the majority will try and fight your battles for you- we have blind faith and raw courage- we are a VERY strong sign and have the ability to trample over weaker signs- we are not deceptive- why should we be? we let certain other signs take care of that- and you know who you are!!lol- we cannot be pushed, but we can be lead, gently- if we are pushed, we will rebel- its our instinctive mars urge to rebel- we usually forgive and forget everything but the most cruel encounters- we give from the heart with no ulterior motives- every aries woman, as strong as we are, has a deep hidden desire to be protected and defended by her man- expecting an aries woman to follow orders is unwise, but to ignore us is downright dangerous! -we also must be allowed to express ourselves through our own mars pattern- this involves many ups and downs which in turn helps us to EVENTUALLY learn that impulsive and rash behavior usually brings regret- a mars ruled woman admires strength, both physcial and moral in a man- and she will place her trust in no other kind of male, however much she may struggle against submission-and we aries are jealous, but not for the reason that you think- it has nothing to do with a man flirting or talking with another woman- it has to do with the fact that are not number 1 at that point! attention has been diverted away from us- remember, the "baby" of the zodiac requires lots of attention in order to grow and survive- to an aries soul, love is a necessity of life- aries demand love- without love, aries dies.......... | |

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 6:49:26 PM | Maybe my point of view is not welcome here, but I don't see how anyone can believe in astrology. Do you realize it is a parlor game invented by ancient Greeks, when they thought the stars and planets were just beyond our reach in the sky? It is mythology, and has been properly dismissed as such.
When I was in junior high, girls used to play a game: " 'Kay, write down a color, a number, and a name of a boy in our class. Okay? Ohmygawd, you're gonna live in a purple house with 37 kids and you're married to Bradleyl Grossss!
One of the best critiques of astrology was that a better system would be to have an extensive list of the aircraft that are flying over at any point on the land. Flight schedules of commercial aircraft used to find out where the aircraft is (or are) compared to the moment of your birth has about a billion times more gravitational effect than the stars and planets. 'Oh, are you a Boeing Eastern 737?' 'No, I'm a PanAm 747, but they went out of business.' 'Eeewwww. Bye.'
When I was getting acquainted with the woman who would be my now ex-wife, she asked what sign I was. I said "Resume Speed--Thank You." She then asked when I was born, and when she knew what my supposed sign was, she said "Oh, you're going to break my heart." And the self-fulfilling prophecy was in place.
How about this: the Earth wobbles on its axis, the same way the axis of a slow moving top moves around. So the stars and planets move relative to the earth. Here is another one: the map of the stars is not static, but slowly changes as the stars move through space. How about this: the constellations that astrology is based on are arbitrary shapes suggested by our eyes. Further, the boundaries change as the map moves. So, can anyone name the 13th sign of the zodiac? This is all based on the signs of the zodiac which are located along the ecliptic, which is the line along whcih the sun and planets generally move. Given all the slow changes that occur, which are true, the ecliptic now goes through the area occupied by the constellation Ophiuchus! (Really!) 'So, like...are you an Ophiuchus? Rilly? Ya wanna buy me a drink?'
Sorry for being so blunt and unsympathetic, but there are enough things keeping people apart without introducing more, and in this case, imaginary barriers. Thanks!

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 8:08:32 PM | Man, SoTexGuy, you're absolutely right! Maybe we should abandon scientific progress and base all of our medical research on the flybys of asteroids and comets. Wouldn't that be something. We could discover a connection between the cure for AIDS and the impending doom that awaits us at Armageddon. hehe
But, man, I'm glad somebody sees astrology as the counter-productive study that it truly is.

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 10:09:43 PM | I am sorry to keeping bashing this issue, but I just have to share a laugh I just had at the expense of someone. I checked out a couple of profiles who had astrology as an interest on their profile, and one of them had something like 'just wanting someone who was real'!!! And this is a person who believes in astrology. Does that contradiction make any sense? Are we going to be real with each other, or are going to base things on mythology and superstition? What are your thoughts among the followers?

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 10:50:13 PM | Dear wiccked, I in no way "knocked" Aries, nor made any reference to throwing of fits ;) Aries (generally speaking) are everything you have described. As it pertains to me, you can't beat standing next to an Aries when you are on a mission and working towards the same goal in the same way, the two of us will overcome every obsticle in the way.
(again speaking in vast generalities), simply put, the very aggressive and outgoing nature of Aries, particularly against a stubborn and more thoughtfully cautious Capricorn, and considering the fact both signs are extremely ambitious and independant, tend to wear the relationship down into constant power struggles. I've hit that even with the cuspies.
Aries are wonderful people. We love each other. Under different roofs... LOL
I didn't and wouldn't knock any sign, everything creates a balance.

| Compatiblity by Sign Posted: 9/9/2005 11:36:56 PM | LMAO HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH OKAY SO OBVIOUSLY YOU DONT KNOW ANYHTNG ABOUT THE ZODIAC...............................DIVIDED BY TWELVE SIGHNS YES BUT A DIFFERENCE OF A 24 HOUR PERIOD (RISING SIGN ETC...) IN BIRTH, CHANGES THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF A PERSONS PERSONALITY GREATLY HOWEVER THE BASIC PERSONALITY TRAITS ARE STILL THERE THINK ABOUT THIS ......A QUESTION TO ALL ..........IF YOU WHERE STANDING IN LINE AT THE BANK AND SOMEONE RUDELY STEPPED AHEAD OF YOU WHAT WOULD YOU DO?? NOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WHO READ THAT QUESTION ANSWERED EXACTLY THE SAME WAY??? HOW MANY WITH SOME VARIANCE...NO MATTER WHAT THE ANSWER WAS ITS A PERSONALITY TRAIT AND ,YOU WILL FIND GREAT SIMILARITIES BETWEEN PEOPLE. THERES NO DENYING IT .THIS IS WHAT THE ZODIAC IS LIKE. IT THIS ARRANGEMENT OF THE STARS (THE GODS IF YOU WILL) THAT GIVES US A BASIS FOR OUR PERSONALITY TRAITS AND PART OF SEEING THE CONNECTION IS KNOWING YOURSELF WELL THE BETTER YOU KNOW YOURSELF THE BETTER YOULL SEE THE CONNECTION ........I HAD A FRIEND ONCE WHOSE ZODIAC DESCRIPTION SAID HE TENDED TO BE ARGUMENATATIVE ...........WE ARGUED FOR SEVERAL CONVERSATIONS AFTER THAT ON HOW UNTRUE IT WAS ,THAT HE WAS NOT ARGUMENTATIVE!!! FUNNY THOUGH HE KEPT BRINGING IT UP ...........ARGUMENTATIVLY........... | |
