I could still log in so I took a look around at how many "victims" there were. In the male 19 to 30 category alone:

Actually, the people on that site interacted very much like the people on here do and we did things in parties and events. It was my experience that the men on the site were the ones doing the hunting. No one had to hold a gun to their heads to get them to sign up. So it isn't like they were being stalked. The core group is still in touch through another site. I'm not active in it anymore but still hear from them.
Easily , one half of the men I spend time with are younger than me. It has nothing to do with years. It is more the fact that we don't judge people by age, but rather by what we bring to each others lives. As for the "pick 'em up in bars thing......I think that may have as much to with the atmosphere, the alcohol and who is available for attention at the time. Not something I do. I get myself into enough trouble on here and besides

I guess what irks me is the "age dont matter" quote, if your a 34 women dating a 22 year old men you have to bring yourself down to there maturity level. yes, i know, there are some mature 22 year olds, but im saying most of them are not. same goes the other way if your a older man dating a younger women. I dont care how mature you think a 20-25 year old is......not gonna be as mature as a 32-36 year old. I think its mostly done to "brag" that your pulling younger men. And mostly done for sex. I know im going to a million stories of how older women have been with younger men, im just saying IN GENERAL it usually doesnt work. Im a 34 year old man, hell give me a 21 female to be with, hell yea, i wouldnt complain either. If i want a RELATIONSHIP and want it to be real, give me a 35 year old female that is grounded and has been thru life ...my two cents

Look back at the comments from women and men. They are most often durogatory.
Does there have to be a name for any of it? Is it anyone's business what age men I am seeing? Younger men for me are men who have already been married and divorced. Most have their kids out the door and don't want any more. By the time they are my age, most of them are remarried. So it's slim pickens in my age group.
Also, according to more than half the profiles I read, all the men are under 49. How many men lock right up at the thought of having to put 50 something on their profiles?

"In my opinion" If older women are going to date younger men , good on 'em. If you intend to develop a long term relationship.......give serious consideration to the fact that he may want children in the future. Do you?
As for the women who are labeling other women COUGARS......shame on you, you should support and encourage them. Do you consider them competition? Did your husband or boyfriend leave you for an "older" woman? I don't think so. Nuff said.

Also, why does there have to be a motive/agenda other than company/companionship, involved in date?
Does it have to be sex or long term? No other relationship? Common interests n'est pas? Maybe we go fishing. Maybe the younger man I am with at the theatre enjoys ballet like I do.

he's also my current roommate. 
We have a relationship that involves sharing an apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ... he has one of each and I have one of each. We get along great and respect each others' space. We're actually just really good friends, but he really did take me out to dinner. He has been a great help to me since moving to the Phoenix area a couple of weeks ago.
OT: I have been asked out by several younger gentlemen on this site ... I have no idea how much older I have to be than a man in order to qualify to be called a "Cougar", but I do have a few questions about it:
1. If I'm not the one doing the pursuing ... does that make me a "Cougar"?
2. What if it's the guys coming after me? What is the term for a guy who openly pursues somewhat older ladies?
Can someone help out here?

That was the point of my post ... who cares what any of us do in our personal life? Who cares how old the people are we date? I'd much rather hear that people are dating happily than how old the folks are they are dating ... what the age difference is etc.
Why are we all so eager to place labels on things ... others' personal lives? Isn't there enough intolerance in the world already?

I didn’t believe it either. But there we were dining out at a very nice restaurant the other night when my friend’s daughter asked me if I wanted to take a look at the cougars in the lounge.
Here I thought I was this hip-hop happening kind of old guy but apparently not.
Curious and just a tad apprehensive, we walked from our ocean-view table into the depths of the bar/lounge. We rounded a corner and there they were. Not just one cougar, but an entire gaggle of them!
Middle-aged women dressed in mini-skirts and low cut, tight fitting blouses. Each with a martini in hand and a chemically brilliant white smile beaming from beneath botoxed brows.
They laughed out loud — ha ha. They cruised the young men — how sad. They completely ignored me as I walked by — the ****es.
So for those of you not in the know about cougars, here’s the official poop:
