Are Women Going To Be Barefoot Today And Tonight?Page 2 of 4    (1, 2, 3, 4)
In my own home I am always bare foot. I'm not into foot massage, I get that when I get my pedicure. I like a man to talk to me. Most boyfriends talk so little. I need a talker. I am going to add that to my bf lists wants. Thank's for making me think what I really want in a bf.

Always when I'm at home. I only put on socks if it is really cold.

Always, always when at home, I'm in bare feet and bare legs. ( I wear shorts and t-shirts, never mind the season! )

I dislike anything on my feet and legs - apparently it was the same when I was a baby. I was told my socks and shoes would come flying off and out of the pram.

Nothing's changed.

I'm always barefoot indoors, and in the summer, outdoors as much as possible. I know it sounds odd but I think I can "feel" any experience better if my feet are bare to absorb the ground, especially outside in nature. Wearing shoes and socks feels like my senses are partially blinded. I'm a strange girl, I know.

I like wiggling my toes in the grass...or the sand....but don't do it much. Usually a cheapie pair of sneakers does just fine. Why cheap? Cause I figure that I can buy 3 pairs of new shoes compared to one pair of really good ones that are going to look beat up after one pair of mine look the same (also...it still keeps money in my pocket!). At least I have new ones more often. The comfort factor is there though. Ah well...whatever suits you I guess.

I have heard that cowboy boots are very comfortable and come in a range of "styles" plain or highly decorated. And they take a bit of getting used to, but you'd not want to go back to anything else afterwards. I don't know if this is true. Been a bit leery of them becaus eI am 6ft 4 barefoot....add a couple inches with heels and people might be thinking I am trying to intimidate them with my height. I dunno....might give it a shot sometime anyways...never hurts to try them on!

I love going barefoot and never wear socks without wearing shoes. I have a problem going barefoot around others though and need some encouragement to do so. I seem to be able to do it some around strangers but not those I know. Can anyone be a help to me? Need constant encouragement!

Barefoot, nope it's not for me either! I love shoes of all kinds and have lots of comfy sandals and flip-flops that I wear during any season, day or night.
Understand, in Texas there are only 2 seasons ~ summer and nearly summer,, so sandals work most of the time.
Besides, I live in the country and we have scorpions here.. It can really ruin a good day or night, when you step on one with bare feet.. Yes, they get in the house..

Yes, I'm always barefoot and pregnant, and I spend all my time either in the kitchen or the bedroom.

No. When I go out in the real world I wear socks and shoes on my feet. At home I might go barefoot (if my feet are feeling warm), or I might wear just socks or socks and slippers (if it's really cool outside and I feel drafts, which is rare). During the summer I'll wear sandals and sometimes I go barefoot outside and I'll definitely go barefoot at the beach. Sometimes on a hike I'll take off my footwear and paddle in a stream and let my feet air-dry. Once I went topless while hiking because the temperature was so hot, but I wear shoes and socks when hiking.

That's funny, shoes and socks but no top.

I used to walk barefoot most of the time in the house until I got plantar fascitis. Can't do it any more. Bummer.

I have a good old chuckle when I see people wearing shorts, gay pants (knee high pants) or flip flops when its freezing cold out.

ARGH--they just banned women from being topless in Boulder, it's been legal since I've lived here (1979). I swear this friggin' place is turning into California.

And, you eventually get over plantar fascitis--I thought the best "cure" for it WAS going barefoot? And massage. Anyhow, that worked for me.

I get home for the day and the first thing I do is take my shoes off. Then my bra. I walk barefoot quite a bit, but running sandals are more my thing.

I once had a co-worker read me this poem, it reminded him of me (I'm a girl, though):

I can't stand socks but I also can't stand walking around with bare feet..............it's more about the chance of stepping on sharp objects that concerns me.

I used to go barefoot at the beach but even that's become a problem in the last few years. A very famous Australian football player made headlines when he went to a local beach to jog and stepped on a syringe.

Luckily he didn't catch anything but it went straight into his foot.

Food for thought.

Aside from winter outside... yes, I'm always barefoot.
I keep a pair of Birks in the van.. to slip on when I go into a store or some such.
I drive barefooted also.

Barefooted. That's me. How else is an old hippie suppose to be?

Lord have mercy.. "message this short may not be posted" again. I think all that ^^ is NOT short.

Due to my hard-labor job requirements, I wear socks, of course, with a good pair of size-13 steel-toed boots with laces. I wear them so much, i get used to them, so I wear them around the house a lot though. Not all the time, and I wouldn't wanna be barefoot in public. Doesn't sound very manly to me at all, even if it's summer! Flip flops seem pretty stupid, and they never stay on your feet, so I never wear the things. I wore them in the army, but only as 'shower shoes', so go figure!
What makes sense to me, and also pretty manly, is that I only have the one pair of feet, so i take care of them by protecting them. And I can't do that by wearing sandals, because your feet are exposed to everything in the elements, like broken glass and stickers, and when it rains, your feet get soaked if you're caught out in the open. So I'm definitely a boots-and-shoes kind of person. If you're not going to the pool or the beach to go swimming, leave the flip-flops at home! Yuk yuk.

Inside in the winter I wear socks, no shoes. Once the weather warms up I am barefoot inside and outside, although I make sure my feet are washed when inside. Have nice feet I have been told. Nice polish on the nails, and using creams when I sleep keep the sole areas smooth and nice. ~Beth~

I'm always barefoot unless I have my cozy fuzzy big socks on at night for warmth.

Sandals all winter here in Fla. Never shoes except the gym.

Ouch. I woke up with that once and it was very painful. I often wonder if walking in barefeet on an uncarpeted floor is healthier or not.

I wear 100% boiled wool (felted wool) slippers. Since they are not synthetic they don't get an odour!

Barefoot, birkenstocks, river sandals, or hiking boots are my standard footwear, depending on what I'm doing. I've got a pair of dress shoes but end up wearing them only a handful of times a year.

And yes, if it's cold, I'll wear socks with the Birks. I'm more interested in comfort than impressing the fashion police.

I love being barefoot. Shoes are my bane. Croc types are my houseslippers and my whenevers so I can take them off at first opportunity. I have less knee and sole pain if I wear soft shoes.

Finding comfortable work boots to fit is my misery.

3.5 leather, I stretch at ball of foot, can't wear a wide because then the heel and ankle is too loose. Tactical in desert tan or even black. No thick lug sole, my foot is too small to bend it. I find the boots, order them, and they are really 5's. Pizzes me off. Increases odds of tripping, because the toe of my boot is about an ince or more from my actual toe.

I usually settle for a 5 W, and wear two insoles and an ankle brace. A 4 would be more than fine, but the last pair I got seems to be the last one made.

Whoever finds them for me and they are not told the boots are "not in stock", on backorder, or a relabeled 5 (often the case on eeee bay), will be my hero.
